The egg.

Interstate, Kirk and Roos' last game in Sydney. Expect them to leave the lube at home.

Whinge , whinge , whinge . :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

That's what Essendon* supporters do for chryfes sake .

There's a special forum for it . It's called bomberblitz . That's where you go to whinge about umpires .

My hope is that being finals, they'll let things go, and let the game flow.

I actually thought the umpires kept us in the game against Geelong......

I think someone from the club should have highlighted it in the hope we got a fair go this week.

The whinging sounds like sour grapes I know but seriously you cant win if the umpiring isn't fair.

Freo were much better at ducking their heads and dropping to their knees as they are about to be tackled. The pathetic umpires just fall into line with the home crowd. End of game...

At least the Blues won the fights behind the stand at the end of the game. Pretty ordinary behaviour but we won something

My fear is they won't but I agree.

Ratten needs to outline this during the week. Something like "It's a final, it's not time to pay iffy decisions. We hope the umpires let the game pan out like a final should. We thought there were a lot of lineball decsions go against us in the first half against Freo but this is a final, so lets play intense footy"

Then the club can pen a please explain response and pay the $5k on his behalf.

Just in case our players should bring their own KY jelly and hand it to the umps, bend over and tell them to apply it before they have their ways with us.

I will be looking at umpire selections as soon as player selections for this match.

Can we get different ones to the ones that umpired our games against Essendon* third round 2008 and to the ones in this Fremantle match pretty please with sugar on top? Umpires can influence matches, and the less influence they have the better....and I would prefer them not miked up as well.

On another matter - when are they going to get rid of the 50 metre penalty (make it a30 metre penalty).

I hate that penalty. ouch...someone has stepped over the mark by one centimetre.
instant 50 metre penalty. They are going to have matches decided by these stupid penalties one day.

Bomber Thompson has come out and told the umps to crack down on the sort of shit that was going on in the last St Kilda vs Geelong game, was hoping Ratts would do something similar although he did mention the umps last week and it didn't do us any favours.

Can we all please stop whingeing (or even talking) about umpires.

It's pathetic.

Anyone who thinks any umpire goes out with the mindset of "I'm going to crucify Carlton/Collingwood/St Kilda etc today" has a serious problem with reality.

Yeah, we got a rum deal last week. Sh It happens.

And yeah most times the home side gets the rub of the green. Which probably means we get the better of it whenever they play in Melbourne.

The thread title is a presumption not supported by fact.

A former umpire came out and said he was over ruled on giving the best player on the ground any brownlow votes because the senior umpire hated him. Welcome to reality.

 whingeing about umpires smacks of a lack of knowledge and blissful ignorance.

Footy fans will always whinge about umpires, to say otherwise smacks of a lack of knowledge and blissful ignorance.

Of course fans complain about umpires.

I didn't suggest they didn't.

I did suggest umpires don't deliberately favour/disfavour any team.

It's those who complain who display a lack of knowledge and (not) blissful ignorance.

I only have a beef with one umpire and I don't know who is he but I know he does not like us.
He is the only umpire that I really not ......... UMPIRE 28.
I have not seen him around lately so perhaps he is doing the VFL or lower.
