Hey guys, just got a quick question, if we beat the Swans this week does that mean we finish no lower than 6th on the ladder?

This question does have context, but its absurdly long winded.

In 2000 we finished 2nd after H/A but ultimately 3rd, in 1999 we finished 6th after H/A, but 2nd in the final wash up.

Do finals results form the final ladder?

No....the Ladder for 2010 will be the same as now.....EG.....the Final 2009 Ladder read...

1. St.Kilda (2).....I.E. finished runner up.
2. Geelong (1)..........Premiers.

..you're all right.. ..colonwood are the minor premiers, no matter what happens in the finals that doesn't change.. ..however, after finals the top 8 can shift about, depending on how their finals series goes.. ..this will effect draft picks..

Since when do we award or recognise the 'Minor Premiers'? Soccer thread. Finishing 1st is the same as finishing 4th.

Similar, but not the same.

1st gets home final against 4th. Ok this year but not if playing interstaters.

I don't think any club has seen the Mclelland or cared about it since 1991. Used to be good ammunition for the playground though...I clearly remember telling some smarmy Essendon* kid that ..."we're ahead of you in the Mclelland you idiot...our reserves and under 19's shit all over your mob...ha! And Val Perovic is so much better than Roger Merrett...even has a better mustache!"

I remember the days of the Dr McClelland Trophy too. It was even kept track of in the papers back then. 1990/91 was the end of innocence.
