What really annoyed me was 2 minutes to go on the clock , dockers 6 points up . One on one between not sure who and AJ. He knocked it through for a point instead of trying to wing the contest . When that happened we had no chance if winning anymore.

Sums us up really, they don't back themselves.

Yet strangely enough, when he does back himself he's criticised. Can you imagine what would've happened had he tried to keep it in, been dispossessed and given up a goal!! :yikes:

It was Ballantyne.

I agree he would have been bagged had he gave up the goal, BUT siren wad about to go and too win you need to take some risks. Go down giving it your all. Who knows if he had attacked and did something inspirational the result could have been different.

Channel 7 please FOAD. Rubbish commentary and worse camera work.

I know I'm being picky here, but I wouldn't blame the cameramen/women; I'd blame the director.

It was a sledge at Ch 7 in general :) Their coverage is always !@#$%& woeful and I lost count of the times I saw that smug flog Harvey's face or some player having a drink instead of what was actually going on with the game.

Yes!!

Well done missnaut -- it's reassuring to know that it's not just me who rather watch the game in progress than someones
face or a replay of someone falling into a dugout etc. IMO they tend to zoom in too close too. There were quite a few passages of play where I had no idea who might have been nearby.

Channel 7: STOP ZOOMING IN ON THE PLAYER WITH THE BALL TO THE EXCLUSION OF ALL ELSE! IT DOES MY HEAD IN! AND SPARE ME ALL THE SHOTS OF THE COACHES AND THE CROWD!

SHOW THE PLAYER WITH THE BALL AND THE SURROUNDING 10 - 15 METRES. That is all.

Read your post after commenting on missnauts.
That's it then. I'm writing to Ch 7 to tell them to pull the @$%@#^ camera back a bit so we can
watch the game.

Ballantyne. When that happened i was like 'WTF JOSEPH!' as it put them 7 points up...did he know the score? he could have paddled it and tried to do a U-turn far out.

They were exactly my words jt. I knew at that moment we could not steal the game. If someone backed him up as well he could have tapped it back.

Agree about the camera work, could not see the play properly. WTF!

The time left on the clock information took a while to get to waite also. Could have nailed the goal quickly and gave us 10 seconds to get another shot. Long shot but we need to get better at them little things.

The camera work is the worst for the entire season.

The close up shots were wayyyy to close, the camera couldn't even follow the ball, a lot of times the shot was on a player but the ball was out of screen.

Bower was terrible but I would pick him over Thornton every day of the week because he takes the game on and doesn't sit outside a pack getting the cheap kick out the back. We are so far off being a good side it stuns me that any supporter can back this coaching regime or feel that we have been adequate this season. We haven't beaten anyside higher than 13th for 11 weeks!!!!!!

I am surprised at how satisfied supporters seem to be with the result. I thought it was the most disappointing loss of the year. We could have won a home final, but have to travel. We were playing a side who is incredibly inexperienced. Half their side debuted this season or last season (they have drafted really well), but we were beaten easily in general play and I thought the score flattered us. Never mind that we lost by a goal, we only kicked 7 to 3/4 time. We came home well but it was all wasted because we were outplayed by a team half full of first and second year players. Very surprised the coach and so many others seemed satisfied with us getting goals late when we needed them early. In the last 11 weeks the 4 wins we've had have been against the bottom four. I reckon we can beat the Swans, but the second half of the season has been incredibly disappointing and the greatest disappointment was being outplayed by the Dockers pretty easily for the first three qtrs on Friday.

Especially since they have been in the worst form out of all the teams in the top eight....

Hey what about us ! 4 our 11 and the 4 against the bottom sides. Not good form.

We were disappointing at times and good at other times on friday. It was 21 v 22 for most of the night and we looked good until Carazzo left the field. It was on thier home ground. Their ruckman was twice as good as ours helping them to win the clearances and our younger players didnt play as well as thier younger players. Still after all that if some of our players were a little smarter with their ball use we could have pinched it.

We have a long way to go . I am sure noone is denying that.

Plus they have a cheating coach who learnt from the best in the business.
