We have played them at ANZ twice

R17 2002: Syd 13.14 to Carl 10.9

R1 2003 Syd 22.14 to Carl 10.12

Sunday at ANZ.

Will be extremely tough however the reality is I'd take that over a return trip to Perth.

According to Fox Sports tonight (in the Bris/Syd telecast), Mumford, Kenelly and Hennebery will all be back next week.

They will probably throw in Bradshaw so he can @#$%&! us like he did last year in the EF in Brisbane

Apparently he played in the Swans Magoos today

Yeah I was thinking the same :yikes:

Knowing our luck, he'll return after missing 10 weeks straight and kick a bag.

We also beat them by 100 points in the Wizard Cup in 2002.....

I'd feel more confident playing Geelong or Collingwood.

THe surface at ANZ is also known for being spongy and slow.

You would think it would suit them but it doesnt seem to judging by results this year. Although their 3 losses there this year were to Geelong Collingwood and StKilda.

Not true.

MCG is 160 x 141m
Etihad is 159 x 128m
ANZ is 160m x 120m, so very narrow.

Can't complain about finsihing 8th, only having to play swans in sydney rather than do the WA double and get a 9 day break. Also, winner gets an injury ravaged bulldogs in week 2. Other than playing at home, that's not a bad draw.

Mumford did a medial last week (minor) so will not be 100% if he plays. Biggest test of Ratts' coaching. I thought he outcoached Harvey last night. His match ups worked well, his ins were good (hammer was poor but yarran and joseph were good, with ballantyne having no impact) and his move of scotland/hendo in the last sparked us. If Carrazzo has played, Hill would not have had 25 and 2 goals.

However, swans are as well coached as anyone and will be a big test for Ratts and MC.

We are the only team playing at a ground we have not played at this year.

Can you imagine Harvey's whinging if Freo had ended up at the MCG?
