Player/Coach review:

Ratten: You should not be coaching next year you are a disgrace and have no idea what you are doing. Stop destroying the limited talent we have at the club.

M.Davies: Should not play in the final. Clearly not up to scratch and should NEVER have been selected by our useless coach.

M.Jamison: What the hell is this guy's problem. He craps his dacks and grabs his direct opponent CLEARLY infringing. Your typical Carlton moron

A.Joseph: Tried hard all day in the packs, which is more than I can say for 9/10 of the players. Still, not AFL standard.

D.Armfield: One of our best runners. Battled hard all day, but is defensively not up to standard.

P.Bower: This guy is the worst in our side. He has absolutely no idea what to do when the ball is in the air. Absolute lemon of a player and should be traded for whatever we can get for him.

J.Russell: Athletic, but like Jamison has serious brain fades where he clearly infringes. Lucky not to have more free kicks paid against him.

K.Simpson: An absolute gem of a player and should clearly win our B&F hands down. Tonight he was our ONLY A class midfielder. Murphy was a B+

C.Judd: This poor guy has fought hard all season, but with selfish players who do not protect him... what chance does he have. One of his worst games for the CFC. Playing injured?

S.Grigg: Will be a good player, but clearly not up to AFL standard quite yet. But at least the kid has a dip unlike most of our players.

C.Yarran: Show pony who needs to learn how to get a hard ball. It's all good and well to do 2-3 amazing flashy things in a game, but when you don't put the runs on the board you are a waste of space.

J.Waite: Top marks for this bloke. Genuine trier and would bleed for the Navy Blue.

A.Carrazzo: Probably did the team a favour by getting injured. This guy has terrible disposal and is a serious liability... played a bad game today

J.Garlett: Best of the small forwards by a country mile. But still goes missing like the other 2. Still... keep trying Jeffy.

L.Henderson: Hedo is a great find. I had my doubts about him at the start of the season. However, I think he will be fantastic. Now the delivery to him needs to be improved. (Sack the skills coach... Bradley?)

E.Betts: This guy is an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!! Bower is the worst player in our side. But Betts is the biggest disappointment. Showed so much before he signed his contract. We are paying this d*ckhead $1.9M when we need to be retaining players like Grigg.

R.Warnock: Battled hard, but Sandilands was way too good. We kicked to stupid 1 on 1s where Nockers was outbodied. Not his fault.

M.Murphy: Great game, but had little support. The rest of the mids (exception of Simpson) should hang their heads in shame

B.Gibbs: Great game in defense. Only thing holding it together (if it is together). Needs to give Bower and Jamison a kick on the arse cos those 2 are useless

D.Ellard: Not up to it... delist... next

S.Hampson: Trade to Gold Coast for a packet of chips. Did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TONIGHT

M.Robinson: Needs to go back to the little league and learn how to kick the ball and hold a mark. Will be a good player because he has a go. Unlike the rest of the side. However, should still be omitted come next week.

H.Scotland: Did nothing... Delist at end of season. Make room for some youngsters (Lucas)

Summary: Game was an absolute disgrace. When the game was there to be won we folded like Collingwood in September. The margin flattered us. Everyone with the exception of Gibbs, Simpson, Murphy and Waite need to have a good, hard, long look at themselves.

you idiot! :donk:

Lets not kid ourselves, we will not beat the swans next week. They have our measure, even more so with 2 legends leaving the club
What we will need is a strong inside mid next week. I am really hoping that McLean can play a ripper tomorrow and step in

Really proud of 'em in that last quarter, especially being one down for most of the match. Judd had fantastic last term, but he must be playing injured, just can't kick any distance.

How can you blame Ratts when 16 of our 22 players are, IYHO so terrible. If the players are that bad then he's a coaching genius to get us within a goal of a rested Freo at their home ground with only 6 AFL standard players to work with.

Perhaps it evened up cos the Blues were going in harder in the last and looked like they actually wanted to win it??

Still concerning that Judd constantly held/scragged before he gets his hands to the ball, and rarely paid. It will not change until Gieschen is gone.

We ran second to the ball for almost a half ... this gave them first use and as a result they could spread the way they like and have their best runners carry the ball.

With 27 seconds to go in the first quarter (I can't believe we couldn't hold the ball for 27 seconds) up to the first 90 seconds of the second quarter we conceded 3 goals ... 3 goals in 2 minutes of football.

We failed to break down their attacks and relied on them turning it over to get it off them. Far too often they would run their way from a stoppage whereas we would kick it over our shoulders 70's style.

I am amazed how we have assembled a squad with so many players with kicking flaws. Too many of our players cannot kick a football low and hard to make those inside 50's pay.

The positive was the way we fought it out.

Disappointing end to the home and away season....eleven wins....not sure what was the benchmark pre season but I reckon it may have been higher than this....maybe not....who knows....next week is our chance to salvage something from the season but we don't have the structure to beat Sydney on their own turf....so a tall order for all concerned next week...

I thought the umpiring wasn't so bad in the second half.

But the damage had already been well, and truly done; and I reckon I'd been desensitised to it by then.

Free kicks almost always even up....so if you don't lose the plot and give away silly ones it has no affect on the outcome....

BG72 even if Waitey kick it we would of lost by a point.

If it was a draw, the draw would stand and we would of picked up 2 points.
