I’m getting a bit ahead of myself here but from that article it appears that if we’re hosting Freo it will be at Etihad on the Saturday arvo.

In that scenario CK Freo would have to catch Sydney's percentage as well. Very unlikely that the Lions will pump Sydney and the Hawks upset Collingwood.

We beat Freo, Swans win, Pies win means we host Freo.

Pies & Dogs to play at the G on the Saturday night. The article also says Freo cannot play on the Sunday as it wouldn’t give them enough travel-factor break before the Friday/Saturday games in week 2.

So if they’re hell bent on Pies/Dogs being Sat night ours would have to be at Etihad on the Saturday afternoon.

Anyway, as I said I’m getting a bit ahead of myself.

PS. JUST GIVE US THE CUP!!!

Got up this morning and my thoughts, as always turned to the Navy Blue world.
What a great feeling it is once again to look forward to September.
Also, really believe deep down we are going to go deep into September this year. Really.
We are better than most people think and if the boys are switched on as they have been of late ... look out.
Anyway will see and maybe this is just me being ... well Surrey again but I do have faith and feel good.

Morons. A win will do it.

Hmmmmm, tough one. Is there a 'neither' option?

Dockers I reckon.

I would prefer our chances against Freo again than against Sydney.

Nah...don't want to fly to Perth 2 weeks in a row. There's a reason the AFL avoids scheduling that.

You're forgetting that the AFL scheduling fuckups don't apply to Carlton.

Love it Surrey.

I agree whole heartedly that we can go deep into finals.

Looks like we will play Steak and Kidney at ANZ - which they dont play well at. Think I read/heard somewhere that they have lost their last five there?? I may be wrong...

Win that and we have Bulldogs who have turned just a little bit rubbish in recent weeks. Nowhere near the team that toweled us up.

Then its a Prelim against either Geelong or St. Kilda - both of whom we have beaten comfortably this year.

Which then leaves a Carlton/Collingwood GF in front of a capacity crowd of 500,000 at the 'G.

Sydney have won their last few finals at ANZ

Of course they were a much stronger side in 05/06
