It would be a great shame if Carlton leave Fisher out for the last home and away game and missing on his 100 games especially when it looks like that Carlton will get rid of him at the end of the season, it’s not a crucial must win game, plus he is capable to kick a few goals on his day, he is not exactly the worst player on our list and he hasn’t been giving a fair go this season in my opinion.
I know you may say that you have to put your best side in etc. etc. But I still say that Fisher and Thornton shouldn’t have been dropped in the first place.
I don’t know what anyone else thinks.

imo they should have plonked him in for the Richmond game...while that was also a must win game (although aren't they all) it was against the weakest opposition of the last few weeks.

Our best chance to get to the prelims may be to lose...

First week: Syd/Freo vs Carlton (5v8)
2nd Week: Dogs vs Carlton (1v4 loser vs 5v8 winner)
Prelims: Carlton vs Geelong

If we win and Sydney beats Lions...

First week: Carlton vs Freo/Hawthorn (6v7)
2nd Week: Saints vs Carlton (2v3 loser vs 6v7 winner)
Prelims: Carlton vs Collingwood

Thinking ahead, we're still too inexperienced to beat Saints, but we might have more of a settled team to beat Dogs.

Should have played Fisher against Collingwood.

Agree with you that Thornton should be in the side. Still our best defender !!

Maybe they have no intention of chopping him at the end of the year, so they don't feel the need to get him to 100 games in season 2010?

I'd rather play Kate Fischer in the forward pocket. At least she'd provide some distraction.

I'd play him instead of Davies, who I think needs a spell.
But I'm a bit of sentimentalist, (and I'm assuming that this season is his last).

Fisher has had plenty of opportunity to play 100 games at Carlton. We are in finals mode so if you don't earn a spot on merit then bad luck.

I think the moment's passed for Fish unfortunately.
I was a proponent for his inclusion last week against the cats but it wasn't to be.
If he doesn't get selected it's a real shame that he may end on 99.

Well, thinking owaat.....twould be better, surely for us to play Freo at home....plus...we all get to go and WILL them over the line.
Then...if..no ...WHEN we win that...we'll see.

The only reason to give Fisher 1 more game is if he has a kid to pick up under f/s

I know he has a kid, but my questions are

1) Is it even a son ???
2) How is he doing in the junior leagues ???

What has Fish done this year that warrants a walk up start?.....he's hardly a match winner...never has been.
