Having a send off on Friday I assume....time to rain on some parades!

B-mantle blunder or daring Docker design?

'I'll play Blues': Aaron Sandilands

Aaron Sandilands wrote:
"After three weeks of raging speculation about my foot injury I can now confirm that I am ready to play again,"

"I am definitely going to resume in Friday night’s important clash with Carlton at Subiaco Oval and I have to admit I feel really fresh and raring to go."

"If some of the other boys that had our Round 21 weekend away from the heavy action that AFL battle can present feel as fresh as I do, we will have a really healthy squad to take on the Blues in a big game for us,"

As I posted in the Fremantle thread under TalkingAFL, the action they have taken can be debated as to whether it is right or wrong. I can understand what they've done and probably wouldn't care so much if we weren't their opposition.

One thing that is not in dispute though is how much pressure they have put themselves under for this game. I for one hope the club, coaches and players fully exploit that this week. Would absolutely love to spoil the party on Friday night.

Well said MPH.

They've copped a pasting from various sections of the media but I'm hearing very little about the first thing that occurred to me, & that's the lack of respect they've shown Carlton.

But maybe I'm just biased.

CK, Kevin Bartlett brought this up a few times on his show yesterday.
Should provide us with a bit of motivation you would think.

Its all up to us, and the rest of the AFL world will be watching.

If Freo do beat us, then it proves that resting players was a good move, despite all the controversy, more teams will do it in the future.

BUT..............

IF we can knock em off their perch, then it just proves that Mark Harvey is nong head and resting players is just BS.

GO BLUES !!!!!!!

..rest a player here and there yes.. ..rest that many for 'soreness', and not actual injury that players may be struggling to play thru is a different matter entirely.. ..at the most, very most they might make 9 or so changes.. ..that's still half a team that did have to travel, that got smashed by over a tonne.. ..those players are tired, and demoralised.. ..they were beaten across every line, in every position.. ..such a belting before finals is never good, and i believe far out-weighs any benefit of resting players..

Our start is crucial, we can go out there and grab the home final with both hands or we can bend over and be the easy beats Freo think we are.

+1
We need to bring finals type pressure, if we're serious. No miserable tackle counts this week boys

Straight kicking in the first 1/4 can win us the game.

1.8 or 2.12 whatever we did against them at ES, will give the purple pricks the game on a plate.

I think we'll win and when we do, head job Harvey will be under the pump for his stupidity.

Ratts playing midweek mind games? :?

How about we just stick to hard committed footy. Don't want to see anyone protecting themselves for finals

I want Ratts talking about our team and what we/he is going to do. How he is going to have them ready to play from the 1st bounce. Only mind games we need are within ourselves
