Another win against a bottom 6 team to make it 8 for the year out of our 11 wins. Well done for adding percentage in the last after a 3rd quarter in which we didn’t want to tackle.

PROS

1. The ruckmen – Warnock and Hammer are coming along very nicely, both at the taps and around the ground. Hope Hammer’s OK with his leg.

2. Lachie – He’s gonna be a player, I have no doubt.

3. Grigg – Has really added to the team since his inclusion

4. Whilst Hadley is nothing special himself he does seem to allow Judd to play outside a lot more, and that is what we’ve been craving.

5. Waitey dominating the forward line

CONS

1. Still waste a lot of the ball going inside 50. You can see why against opposition of even mid-table quality we find it hard to score goals. There is just no confidence in where to place your kick if you’re a Carlton midfielder kicking inside 50.

2. Eddie Betts – We all love Eddie, but when you can’t be an opportunistic forward pocket when you miss so many opportunities. Can’t kick from a set shot to save his life. Drops sitters. Missed too many tackles. Can do much better. LIFT!

3. Turning Gibbs into a glorified Cameron Cloke. This sweeper role does nothing for me. Yes, he was BOG against Geelong on Chapman in that role but I think we’ve used it far too often. Overkill.

4. Carrazzo has caught the ‘Thronton virus’ – looks sideways or backwards whenever he gets it.

5. Injuries to Hammer, Joey and Hadley not ideal. Hope they’re all OK.

Well we’ve made the finals. Ratts is safe.

All is well.

Or is it?

By the way, I'm off to Europe and will miss the next few weeks, so this might be my last PROS and CONS for the year.

Thanks for reading if you care to!

See you next year - hopefully we pinch a final.

GO BLUES!

Pro: Warnock...most people gave him away at the start of the year but is starting to show something...

Con: Eddie 'hungry' Betts...extremley hungry at the moment but not doing much on the board...prboably concentrating too much on being the leader of the little helpers...

Good win against not much but we did belt them and you cannot ask for more....the real business begins next week and then the run into the finals....

Pros
Good win!
Watched the game with Titimus on his way back to Tassie via Beijing.
Hadley's, Robbo's and Grigg's hardness at the ball
Army's run and improved disposal
Another game into Davies
Hendo's work rate is fantastic -now that kicking......

Cons
Carrazzo's foot disposal is disgraceful for someone who has been in the system as long as he has. No excuses.
Likewise Eddie Bett's kicking for goal.
Injuries to Hammer, Joseph and saw Waite limping - hope they are all ok.

Pros:

Warnock.
I had him down as a spud, but the last 3 weeks he has shown he can be more than just a bit player in the ruck. Looks great!

Judd.
Awesome game, certainly another 3 votes.

Garlett
How is he a rookie? Should have been a top 10 pick the way he's been playing.

Back to Back wins.
NOW - add a third to that! We can beat Geelong! We've proven that in the past.

Murphy
Liked his game today. Questions have been asked of him lately,...................... and he's answering them perfectly.

Cons.

Umpires.
Disgrace (for both sides). How was that Robbo tackle 'in the back'??????? How are people supposed to tackle these days? FFS! :banghead:

Hendo
Loved his game today, but he did not need to do that to Deledio! Stupid stupid thing to do.
(funny reply from Deledio though!)

Betts
Can be very selfsish and too cute at times, and today showed.

Carrazzo.
NUP! Don't want him in my side. Turnover king. Do that shit against a top 4 side and they'll make you pay! He does this week in week out!

Awareness?
Do we have any? Far to often I see two or more players going for the same ball only to spoil each other or knock each other to the ground leaving the opposition with the ball........

Ruckman
Ummmm........... How are we gonna keep Kreuzer, Warnock, Hammer and Jacobs in the squad? Me thinks that sadly, Jacobs and Hammer will be looking elsewhere soon. (and rightly so too, they both have worked so hard to earn a spot in an AFL side)

Pros

JUDD - 3 votes. 30 possesions, 12 contested, 9 I50s, a goal, 4 goal assists, 9 tackels. A cut above the rest.

Warnock - Matthew Allen type performance (the good All-Aust Matthew Allen)

Joseph - excellent

Scotland - in the best

Hendo's first half

Fwd pressure - huge number of goals from improved tackling

Finished them off

CONS

Geelong next week. Cats line up fairly tall right now, so would not mind seeing Thornton or Walks come back in for Davies. Russell will needed on Johnson.

Bower is a worry - gone back to the old bower

Still look shaky in defence too often for my liking

Need to beat Freo in Perth or I reckon we will have to play them two weeks in a row.

Pros:

Armfield was terrific
Henderson and Warnock are finding rythm.
Many goalscorers

Cons:

Too many tackles didn't stick
Eddie ... just do the simple things in a simple fashion ... what is it with all the falling over and making the task look difficult ???
Defence isn't a solid unit

Pros
Henderson, continues to improve and has a good footy brain.
Judd, brownlow chance?
Garlett, good to see him back up after last weeks game
Armfield
Scotland
Waite, has to stay on the forward line
Good team effort in tough conditions.
Warnock, I now know why they were keen to get him

Cons
Carrazzo's disposal
Betts is off the boil
Poor conversion and could have won by 20 goals
Injuries to AJ, Hampson and Hadley
Disappointing crowd

I don't think this has been mentioned as yet...

PRO - Jamo's run and carry from full back. It seems as though he reads this site and has tried to improve by getting involved rather that just negate his opponent (in which he did by killing Reevolt) :smoking:

Well done son... people may say "it's only Richmond", but he is the current Coleman Medal leader!

Wait....are we going to play finals?

Is that possible after we started the season 1-8?

Warnock the Warlock.
He is magic.
Sunshine at the G.
Sure there were some silly mistakes today..but the team is looking good, and happy to be out there.
We are much better with Hadley in the team//hope he is ok..but Brock is there too,,
Loving Ellard and Jeffy.
Davies is coming along.
Robbo..I hope he has a blinder next week.

No Cons for me.

I agree. Very annoying. Although I did get to enjoy watching Terminator Salvation while I'm waiting. Not bad at all!
