Essedon played great last week and bad last night.

I hope it's not catching.

This is a quote about a Scum player from Bomber Blitz.

Guess who??

Has to be Stanton or Winderlich??

They were talking about trading Stanton + second rounder for Boak when Boak was unsigned

Dunno what to say. I'll make it up as I go.

I was worried until half time and then thought we should get up. Warnock's game was by far the best he has played at this level and his tapwork early in the last was great. He actually hit it a bit away from the contest to a player running through and a couple of times even punched it away, both resulting in clearances.

Back at the start of the year I claimed Garlett was better than Yarran if his highlights package was any judge. Now I jump out of the chair and shout, "that's my boy," every time he does something speccy. I reckon he will be a superstar. He isn't scared to try anything by hand or foot and his ground skills are first class. He's like a bloody cat.

Hadley was good and made it easier for Judd.

Murphy answered his critics, one of whom was me. Well done, especially in the last when his tank was obviuous. Keeo it up, Murph.

Robbo HAS to stay in this side. I am an unabashed fan of his and last night he showed why those of us who like him, like him. His long kicking to position was a highlight and his presentation for the footy was first class.

Carazzo had some great possessions but his field kicking is ordinary at times.

Gibbs played OK but for mine still has to step up a bit.

Now we have to bring that game to the table every week. If we want to be better than a good average team at the bottom end of the eight, last night's performance has to be the norm.

Now for the Tigers.

This bloke is the biggest cheat in the AFL. Does he ever win the footy without umpire assistance? His first /only instinct is to stage for a free which i thought was a reportable offence this year.
So much pleasure beating this mob- Reimers, Monfries, Hille, Davey, Fletcher, Mc Veigh, and Hurley( who just might be the new Michael Symons).
Their supporters turned up thinking they were going to feed on our carcass. Fantastic listening to Lloyd and Robinson this morning going through their list.

The Monfiies free kick & goal was a Bruce Macavaney " Special" out & out DIVE. Obviously well taught by the retired dive specialist ML. The umpires are obviously not getting any smarter, which is unfortunate for the game overall. The game is difficult enough for defenders these days, without these clowns giving out Academy Awards in the form of cheap free kicks in front of goal.

Completely agree. If the umpires ever did crack down on him, he'd be in real trouble. Not because he hasn't got some talent. But he was playing for frees even back at Under 18s level. So it's pretty ingrained.

An interesting comment in the match review in the Hun yesterday...."Essendon* lost their midfield jet, Alwyn Davey"

Midfield jet!

My abstention from buying and logging on to The Hun has been a wonderfully cleansing experience. I highly recommend it.

BomberBlitz is an abolute treasure trove of champagne comedy at the moment.

I am loving the delusional supporters who think if they kicked straight they would have been "40 points up" at half time!

It was also super enjoyable to see them take defeat so badly on Friday night. There were quite a few red and black supporters escorted from the venue by security in the my section. I don't think they cared for being seranaded with "Nah Nah Nah Nah, hey goodbye".

And there was a less funny incident on the train home, where another Bomber's supporter taking the defeat a little too much to heart, was trying to pick a fight with a bunch of guys, keeping to themselves. And when his girlfriend tried to calm him down, he started (verbally) laying into her.

By far the worst supporters IMO.

Watching the replay of the last quarter, again, one of my favourite moments is when Carrazzo snaps his second and turns to Stanton and just says simply "woooooo".

Contrast that with what you would have got from the bombers and it was class personified.

A mate who is a bumbers fan said something weeks ago which has some merit. And thats that if he was coach, every bloke would be told to get rid of their coloured bots until they've earned the right to wear them.

I just went and had a look for lulz.

According to them they lost because they couldn't kick straight and because the umpires were handing the game to us on a plate. No mention of 4-5 of their goals coming from free kicks funnily enough...

I went to my first game in Melb to see Carlton for more than a decade and could not believe how just about every Bomber supporter was shooting their mouth off about how they would win.

I had to walk to the MCG with this clown in front of me shooting his mouth off about how they couldn't lose, picked a +40 margin with a bet, gave some dick at his work ( a Carlton supporter apparently) " 4 goals in" for a Bombers victory.

There was some kids (about 14 year olds) in front with Carlton scarves and he was giving it to them, what a hero. He was with his girlfriend who looked a bit embarrassed and some real nuff nuff mates, he's obviously the leader.

After the game I'm standing at the lights on Flinders street and there's the same fckn clown right next to me.

I didn't recognise him at first because he was quiet but more importantly he'd TAKEN OFF HIS BOMBERS SCARF AND BEANIE. Weak prick and I let him know I knew who he supported.

Easily the highlight of the weekend.

I loved this game so much.... 4 quarters, no holding the ball up at the end of every quarter (b/c thorton not there), no kicking backwards , just attacking footy.......

I hate Essendon* so much.........

Hope the boys continue onto next week..

No changes I reckon..

I reckon you have summed up the essence of the Essendon* Football Club right there.

I have never seen so many supporters put on there jumper or scarves only when they know they have won the game.

Just glad the Blues finally figured out a way to combat their run rabbit run gamestyle.
