possible forced changes?

Carazzo - does he have a case to answer for the vigorous wrestling (with Stanton I think)?

Hampson - was heavily strapped and struggling to move freely toward the end. Anyone know if there are concerns for him?

Walker should come in and may be a good match for Reiwoldt.
Yarran would be the other in for mine.
Houlihan as well, if fit.

Not sure who I'd drop though.
Carrazzo may be in trouble with MRP, Davies may lose his spot (although Swan said before the match the Ratts had committed to play a few younger players until the end of the year.... maybe he was referring to Ellard, Hampson?)
Thought AJ did a few very good things.

Carrazzo's tagging role is over-hyped. Plays his best football shutting down the guys who do their best work finishing off the clearances. Every time we've put him on someone who goes right into it for the contested work, he's failed miserably.

Still a role to play if his kicking is around the standard he displayed last night, both in play and at goal.

Bower and Jamison were again fairly average in defence, but you won't see us drop those two AND Davies.

Might be Davies for Houlihan.

Interestingly Stanton had the most possessions of any scum player (although Carrots limited Stanton's hurt factor - Stanton getting lots of cheapies) but Carrots had the most clangers of any player on the ground (6 out of 20 possession) quite a few from unpressured kicks inside 50 which went straight to the opposition. Made up for it somewhat with 4 score assists.

This is as most have said a very important game - absolutely cannot rest on our laurels as the Tigers will be feeling cocky, especially if they beat Melbourne.

I think we should win but we mustn't underestimate them - we've seen what happens when we do that to teams.

It was a pretty physical game last night so hopefully everyone pulls up OK.

Walker (since his shoulder injuries) is nowhere near strong enough overhead to take Reiwoldt IMO. I think Tex is vulnerable against high balls when he's one-out in defence. He also doesn't spoil from behind as well as Jamo or Bower against leading forwards. If/when Tex gets his next run at AFL level, I hope he's used further up the ground (ie. HB/wing).

Yeah it really was his last quarter that saved his neck, which is probably where I'm most referring to his disposal.

He still drew Stanton to play a lot more football behind centre because he was dangerous pushing up to half-forward, and the forward line was open enough for him to be damaging by hand and foot coming in.

The Saints tried to do the same thing to Stanton last week (Stanton had 10 R50s), but they made the mistake of not closing him down enough in their zone. I'm really not sold on Carrazzo's abilities in the slightest, and feel the only way you'll get him to do a proper defensive job is to put him on a man at either end of the ground and tell him to stop said player. Sags off otherwise.

At a glance over the stats that have been done post-match, Carrazzo is actually down for 8 turnovers, but only 4 critical errors (which are roughly the same as clangers). Our mob actually 'won' both of those categories on the night, which combined with all the umpiring could have just as easily made for a much worse night's viewing.

If I see Carrotts one more time spin around onto his left foot and attempt a rocket like spearing pass only to turn it over I'll jump the fence and throttle him!!
He's got to be more disciplined and recognise his weaknesses and play to his strengths. Those type of turnovers are unforgivable for a supposed senior player.

Agree with most that Carrots hurts us alot, been givin away silly frees & 50m's on a weekly basis...
Joseph in same boat, hasn done enough to warrant automatic selection...to often gives stupid frees and gets lost in the one on ones.

Gibbs didn have a big game but he used each of his possessions well, same with Ellard....

Will wait to see who performs tommorrow for who deserves their spots.

Davies didn pick up the pace of the game really and deserves another crack, see if he improves with the debut out of the way

I await the Ants game
Certainly the ins of Robbo Hadley and Davies all did enough as did the other fringe players like wablues own David Ellard
If either of Warnock or Hampson are tired at all Sauce could come in to rest them but they are in good form at the moment so play on otherwise
Hoops could come in but I am happy with unchanged

The Carazzo knockers obviously didn't see last nights game.

Nobody wants him to be dropped, and he probably won't be.

Was pleased to hear Waite on Before the Game saying that the win would mean nothing if we didn't beat Richmond next week.

Bang your head all you like but before you do take off your rose coloured glasses. He was not up to it. Still has a long way to go but has time on his side. His direct opponent should have kicked 6 goals but for poor kicking. Has not been consistently playing well for the Bullants like Ellard to justify retaining him. What is it with Carlton supporters. Apparently after a good win against an ordinary side no one deserves the chop.

:yikes:

Not after what Jack Riewoldt did to McKenzie, Schofield and Embley. :yikes:

I thought Carrazzo's first quarter was the best i have ever seen him play. He was ok for the following 2 quarters and his last was a strange one where he kicked a couple of good goals but turned the ball over a number of times.
He wont be dropped but i reckon in time he needs to be phased out.

Not sure who we play on Rewaldt next week. After seeing Bomber leap over whoever we put on him i fear we dont have a match up for the tiger.
