Ok......thern explain how these ''hacks'' were the players the media wrote up as slick and exciting and so good to watch earlier in the season?

We ran the ball in waves and backed each other, and even kicked the ball with precision to each other.

Yes.....these are those same players who are hopeless ATM.

Lets see what happens this week.

Slick and exciting when they are not under pressure ... otherwise hacks.

Rewind ... start again ... and this time do it better. Replacing the coach is laughable. He is not the immediate problem ... he may be a problem but so far has done ok with a bunch of soft footballers.

Forget tactics ... have a good look at the skills our players have been displaying ... pathetic!

So our players weren't under pressure in the games against Geelong and St. Kilda earlier in the season?? They are 2 of the best pressure sides in the competition FFS!!

You are losing the plot mate, it's time you realised that skill is not the problem with our playing group. The whole football department needs a review and you think adding a couple of skilled players is going to solve everything? :garthp:

Such superficial BS.

Just because they've shown talent doesn't mean they've got their heads screwed on right, MH. Personally I think a few boys might have had theirs expand outwards a bit.

Reality has since set in.

Where did I say that I thought their heads were screwed on right Jimmae? :banghead:

That's exactly the point I'm trying to make - there are far more issues to address with our playing group than just their skill and abilities.

Sorry, I misread your post last night as suggesting the football department needed its head ripped off and the list was fine.

Great win, great respect for Ratts by the boys, still not convinced we've turned the corner.

Great win tonight, a step in the right direction.
Our biggest win for a long, long time.
Maybe coaching from the bench is what the young blokes need.
But, we have to keep it up for the next few (3) weeks before I'm convinced.

Amazing what happens when the players at least try to perform as they are instructed.

I am sure there are aspects of the game that Ratts will still be not happy with, but it makes it bloody hard for a coach to implement a game plan if the players don't want to win the ball.

Absolutley great WIN from the boys and well done Ratts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so far !!

Its a shame it took a weeks worth of abuse towards Ratten and the players from the media and supporters
to get them fired up.

What are we going to do this week ?.

If Ratts can get results like that while coaching from the boundary line, then WTF were all the assistant coaches doing
in the coaches box ?.

Do we need them ?

I'm just really pleased that the players stepped up tonight and showed that they do care about the club and the coach.

I loved seeing Ratts on the boundary line too. Hope he sticks at it for the rest of the season.

Yes, it was a great win, but the post match attitude is still suspect. It still seems like this thicky, thicky boy's club attitude in which the thought is that all that is needed for accomplishment is a ham-fist and a good dose of self-delusion. It's insular thinking, that the whole idea of what it takes to be a successful football side is a about reaction and minimising what makes us look bad. Dealing with the symptoms instead of the decease is us in a nutshell.

Lets hope not ! The boys club is well and truly alive. It will be another long season in 2011 watching Ratten bumble, fumble, destroy the confidence of players. :banghead:
