on the changes - I would have probably brought in jacobs as well. The hille/ryder ruck combo is Essendon*'s main weakness. If we nullified that through high rotations through the bench/forwardline) then it would have tilted the game a long way in our favour

You forgot to put the "i'm only joking" smiley after that post...

Looks a horribly unbalanced side to me.............
Walker could have been used up forward, thought he was better there in the last. Reckon he likes a goal and works pretty hard across half forward or even deeper. He could actually play the Fisher role.
Honestly I don't understand playing less forward targets.
We need goals and expecting a "sore " Hendo to cover the entire arc and zone up is crazy.
Hampson has to keep one of their defenders honest at least or this will be UGLY.
We have some skilled forward players like Yazz and Kerr, even Casboult but their fitness is borderline Auskick, even with the obvious chance to play seniors. I just can't understand how Kreuzer can come in and play first ruck at 18 and these kids can't even be considered to pinch hit in the forward 50 with their fitness. That said, Yarran shirked a contest last week on the MCC wing that was awful, he couldn't be selected this week.
My main 2010 disappointment has been the treatment/form of A.J., he was touted as having a big tank and ran well with midfield elite players then he got camped in the back pocket and exposed for lack of abilty overhead to the point where he looks well out of his depth.
Also AJ please one bounce max and then give to the best option

His ankle wasn't strapped at training today and he didn't harm it at training. He, along with Walker, were dropped.

Why is he listed as injured then?

Going on from that, why is Houlihan still listed as "test" on the various injury lists when he hasn't played in weeks and he's not exactly not getting a game because of the strength of the current 22?

Hopefully the MC has woken up to the fact that they need to continually rotate Robinson off the bench. Like Swan at the Pies he runs 100 miles an hour for a couple of minutes blows up and then can't chase for 10 minutes. I thought Garlett may have also been dropped.

Houla's named in the ants side this week.

I think I'd prefer that the club didn't bother with injury lists rather than provide false information.

Club claiming an injured ankle = amateur hour

Would rather Carrots get dropped and Yaz get a go in the middle

anybody know if you can place a bet on a Jarred Waite getting reported in this game...

The scum came out with the "we were waiting" response after our "they know were coming" slogan last year.

Do you think the scum will be handing out sand buckets and plastic shovels for our "line in the sand game"

If the Ants team doesn't have to be finalised, can we calm down?

Hopefully Hadleys inclusion doesn ruin Ellards chances of playin his own style in the guts.
I think id rather Fisher in the FP than Hammer....not the fwd we're after, misses too many grabs & struggles to kick when he does pull one down, i think Jacobs is the better option lookin fwd...offers more at stoppages.

As a junior he was a CHB, for us he's been a 3rd tall in the Bullants/pre-season, and in a couple of pre-season games he would tag on-ball.

I'd suggest we have a medium/3rd tall lined up for him in the Essendon* forward line. If the Dons are switched on, they'll close him down whenever he's in possession and playing on, as he will likely look to move it on by hand or evade them before disposing.

perhaps they will bring 1 bucket and 1 shovel as it is only a "partial line in the sand" game :screwy:

Too slow for these 2. Perhaps Hardingham across HB a better option.

Dissapointed with Yazz getting dropped, but that contest on the wing where he pulled out was the moment he was dropped IMHO....

GIid to see Ellard given another go, at least he gives it his all.

Rapt Robbo is back.....Should of played against the Pies.

Go Blues!
