on the changes - I would have probably brought in jacobs as well. The hille/ryder ruck combo is Essendon*'s main weakness. If we nullified that through high rotations through the bench/forwardline) then it would have tilted the game a long way in our favour

The thought of reading two forums like this one makes my head spin.

CSC is a rather shallow read.

I'd think it'd be a clear strength

If the 22 selected don't turn up to play then it is going to be a bloody long weekend. I am putting a large amount of my hard earned on the boys to win, that way if we lose I can get angry at myself for betting and ignore the fact that we have lost to these jerks again.

Ratten has just told the football world that Walker Fisher Johnson and Yarren are the soft cocks who shirk

Hope the other 18 who played last week dont think that they werent

pretty happy this week.
dissapointed Yaz is out - but he's injured. any one know what and how bad?

army back is great news.
another debutant is also great news - best of luck to davies
robbo back and due for a big one - tick
hadley back in the last chance saloon. make the most of it and monster the clinches.

walker I thought might be okay up forward. he will come back hungry no doubt.

johnson i thought was okay in recent weeks but generally i'm not a massive fan.

Fisher despite being a good club man should have been no where near the first team in the first place IMO. give him a send off against geelong and get him to 100 maybe. Perhaps thats why he played against collingwood. they knew we couldn't win but wanted to give fisher the 2 games needed for 100. Collingwood and Geelong.

Like the look of the emergencies also.

If you look closely he always ducks his head in a contest or coughs up the ball meekly when in a tackle.
I feel for Fisher being dropped. Why bring him in for a game and then drop him - A lot doesn't make sense at Carlton these days.
How Carrazzo continues to get a game is a complete mystery!

DOA could get a gig working for the Doggies or the ALP with spin like that.

I think he'll find it's pronounced SPINELESS

While it helps, I don't have to look closely. I can tell you he laid 5 effective tackles on the weekend in 6 attempts. That's tackles that stuck and affected the player in possession.

Just looking at our team ... not enough speed ... we fall for it everytime.

We are gunna get throttled.

Lack of legspeed would explain why Essendon* beat a slow WC team at Etihad this year.

They lost...

My mistake...

If you get your hands on the ball first and use it well, legspeed is irrelevant.

These speedsters you mentioned played against a one paced side last week.

dont know if anyone else notices that the boys tend to follow the loose ball........then watch what the opposition does once they grab it ( hunger for the ball )....then try to tackle them , only to let them dispose of it by hand...to a team mate too...thats the difference...but thats another story......

Also Eddie and others used to hit / punch the ball out of the oppositions hands...got the spill...and changed the outcome.....

Why dont they get the ball first ?

Anyone else notice this the last month or so ?
