Have you read the age today? Ratten has given the players a day off??? Lol. "here guys, cause you played like 2nd grade pussies, take the day off.... You deserve it!" haha. !@#$%& hilarious.

Agree its a joke....

You would think that would want to use that time to work on some forward structures, tackling skills, kicking skills. You know all the things the players and coaches alike are struggling with..... :screwy:

"..travelled a bit recently..", really, are you sure?

1 game from 10 involved travel. 2 games in 14 involved travel

Great call coach Ratten, stats failed you there - you have lost it.

If you bother to read the article they are Steven Icke's words not Ratten's.

Clearly they are just making excuses for a team with no direction, no game plan... and hopefully at the end of the season... NO COACH!

Reagrdless, it's still coming from the club and it's utter crap.

Regardless who said it, it's another sad indictment on a club going nowhere

What do they need a break for??!! They haven't done anything for weeks!~!! :hitcomputer:

:donk:  oops, yeah so it is, but oh well, he should know too. I actually stopped reading at that point, went to check the draw, then didn't bother reading any more.

I'll start off by saying this: we haven't beaten Essendon* the last 6 times? we've played them, and I'd expect this will be number 7. I'm tipping Essendon* because I don't have proof that this Carlton team can beat them.

If it meant not winning another game this year, I'd gladly take a win over the Scum this week. Apart from the fact that they are the very essence of evil in this world, they gave us Glen Hawker which is reason in itself to hate them.

Essendon* supporters need to be put into their rightful place. They are the most deluded football followers out there. In fact, the majority of Essendon* supporters are nothing but theatre goers who think that Jay Neagle is a star in the making (he aint), that Kyle Reimers is tough (he aint - he's a pissweak whiny little bitch), and often only find out their team's result when reading the Herald Scum (thank you Robbo) the following day.

I hate them and everything to do with them. I despise every piece of fabric in their guernseys and I loathe every blade of grass on Scum Hill. Their list is made up of cheats and criminals, and they learn all they know from the greatest cheat of them all in Matthew Nights. Their lack of skill in the footballing department is supposedly made up by their expertise in the sniper department. They are the cause of everything that is wrong with this world and I will wait and wait for however long it takes to beat them and when we do, I will sing our song with gusto and remember the day the navy blues put a sock in the mouths of those pricks.

and breathe...

I hate them as much as you do, but can you explain why they are cheats??

Collingwood do this over a 3 week period leading up to the finals and I'm sure other clubs do it to. I fail to see how missing a midweek weights session is newsworthy.

Carlton coach Brett Ratten declares Chris Judd a certainty to play Bombers

Quote:
CARLTON will make up to four changes for its vital clash against Essendon* on Friday night but captain Chris Judd is a certain starter.

Blues coach Brett Ratten said today Judd would play at the MCG despite suffering a bruised pectoral muscle against Collingwood last weekend.

But Ratten said he would look to make 2-4 changes to the team that was thumped by the Magpies.

He also said the focus was on winning the contested footy and that was heavily discussed at the club’s review on Sunday.

Many people may feel that even four changes are not enough, but given the poor performance of the Bullants there aren't many options available.

Of course the Bombers won't be really giving his shoulder a workout will they?

Oh for a Mark Maclure or Duke Spalding to show Waite how to apply your bulk to the contest......legally.
