I'm actually very chipper. We are only a middle of the rung side and was expecting a 10 goal thumping from the Pies. Am expecting them to win this year and will take them winning once every 20 years, as I'll be nearing 60 before their next flag. But think they could also crumble a la St Kilda come the last day in September, and am quite looking forward to them making the GF and seeing what happens, much like 2002/3.

Interesting times ahead. Possibly delightful times ahead.

You might just be onto something there Bondi.

Con Match Committee who made every wrong selection decision possible
Give me hard footballers or young players that may develop over those selected today

O'hailpin over Fisher everytime. (F took one mark when the game was dead. O'hailpin wouldve let Ben Reid know he had an opponent)

Mitch Robinson over Ellard everytime (Don't care about Ellard's endeavour . He is tiny, can't kick and is a joseph/Carrazzo Clone

Hadley over Chris Johnson (Soft receiver is Chris at least Hadley can get under a Pack.

and for that matter if we are going to play a brand of football that deserves a 20 goal thumping---throw in Zach Thouy, Marcus Davies and Levi Casboult. They would have done no worse

and Brett Ratten.......

I laughed when you had Carrazzo on Swan. At very least you needed to rotate the tag. How about making Gibbs step up to the plate and run with Swan. Carrazzo is not the future.

I had to sit in the AFL members and see a once proud club score 1 point in an hour, on a lovely surface at the G. The home of football. D I S G R A C E F U L.

Gibbs = over rated. Possibly in the top 5 worst no.1 draft picks of all time. Seriously

Pros

Thought 206 tried hard.

Ratten 1 smashing closer to the sack. Go away...please.

PROS
Grigg, Warnock, Waite tried, Simmo.
I thought Joseph was OK against Leon. He only kicked 2 on him (3rd on Gibbs)
Jamieson perservered against Dawes

CONS
Bower was just terrible. I don;t think I've seen Bower play worse.
Gibbs has gone backwards this year
Walker & Russell gave nothing today.
Smashed at the clearances
Hampson awful.
Fisher 1 kick till end of 3rd qtr. Not an AFL player.
Ellard no good.
Carazzo has been shite the last few weeks.
Garlett has a shocker

The Coaching - Malthouse and Roos showed Carlton how to be a well drilled team defensively. We have no idea against a structured team. We have no discerable game plan. Atleast that will make two midfields that don;t play defence when we play Essendon* next week.

Great post. Bowser was awful, but I love him and he can play.

Sack Ratten..................and I'm gonna keep saying it until he goes. Great clubman, but, not a coach's #rsehole.

think we are on the same page bondiblue - one thing for certain is that the current list are NOT good enough

said elsewhere - Ratts gameplan will be the making or breaking of him. It took Bomber a long time to get his agressive game style to work at Geelong - and he has a bloody good list. The question is whether we will ever get 22 humans being able to execute the plan - let alone in pressure of finals.

Pro: Warnock's chase and smother on Didak.... and yes Cloke :thanks:
In fact Warnock was the only pro.
Cons: Ratts talks about lack of hardness, we still have Houla to come back and Robbo will be kicking the sand at Sandy tommorow

Yep, got up from the seat and raised the 425ml bucket to 206 for that. If only the rest of our list would commit like that. Good on you 206, you should be played for the rest of the year.
