Discussing technicalities is a bit of e red-herring and something that happens all too often on TC. The more pertinent issue is whether the rate of improvement is acceptable and whether it is likely to get us anywhere near where we want to be as a club. The paradox is that we could be improving technically yet still be going backward in a relative sense.
