Keep telling ourselves that and it just becomes one aspect of a larger problem at best. We have
some talent but it all boils down to the same inability to face reality and become proactive instead of reactive. Most of our players looked like champions or would be champions at at least one stage of their career, we only see what we want to see.
It's a combination of the talent and coaching.
We have a coach who is not getting the most out of what is available to him, however we have also recruited many players who are poor decision makers/kicks.
What are your thoughts on the coaching panel Paf? You always seem to talk about recruiting/list management; give us something about match day/coaching.
That's my interest, Effes, I honestly don't think a lot about the coaching and game day side of it, I really don't have a clue in that direction because it's not the way my mind works. All I could add is a few thoughts on team selections and positional decisions and others say it better than I do. All I can say is that I think that Ratten is too passive and introverted to get through to our playing group. I also could not see Lappin as being much of an assistant despite his playing record. The short kicking backwards and sideways is obvious and only seem to attempt to spot up a player when the short options are exhausted. They have no faith in each-other. I'm more an intuitive rather than a details person, as you can see.
Getting back to what I do 'best' I'd be far happier with this mess if I saw more signs from individuals. That's why I'm so amendment, I don't think we are as far off in regards to talent as some may think, I just tend to believes that certain points can get lost in the blur.
