Can't sack the president's mate without sacking the president.

But as sure as night follows day, there'll be a week of defending this nonsense by the same old TC'ers. We have gone backwards in 2010
ENOUGH

I agree, apathetic effort on behalf of my footy club.
Look at Melbourne and the way they have recruited. We have had the choice draft picks and what have we got? McLean and Johnson Warnock. Gave away decent picks for these blokes.
Carlton's coaching, president and recruiting staff are the laughing stock of the AFL.
Need to wipe the slate clean and try to salvage somrthing from this train wreck.
Unless they can turn things around, a record loss against the Woods is on the cards.

As far as I'm concerned Ratts appears too stubborn to change his tactics. He is making his own bed with this shit and I think it's time he lies in it.

This is spot on - he's stubborn on selection day, and he's stubborn on match day. He persists with players who have no idea and banishes other for a poor game. I wish we could do the same to him.

You have Ross Lyon who comes out and takes responsibility for his team's performance - can anyone ever see Ratten doing it? It's the old arrogant Carlton syndrome - we don't need to go through a process to find the best coach, we can have jobs for the boys (Lappin and Teague) - this arrogance that we'll somehow just have success because we got Judd or the #1 picks - it's a sickness which we need to eliminate. We haven't been successful for a long time and it's time we looked for people outside the club for once instead of thinking old Carlton will just solve everything.[/quote]

Exactly. Ratts either needs to take responsibility for this loss or come out and drop players like Murp, Gibbs and Jamo.

If it's not his fault then something drastic has to happen - no excuses!

We've had 100 less possessions yet turned the ball over 20 more times.

The triple M team have said to stay tuned for a big news story if the game continues this way.

At least there'll be no hiding behind Essendon*'s woes this week. spotlight firmly on Carlton.... not that it will do a @#$%&! thing. Something has gone terribly terribly wrong down there. I lament for my once great club. I feel like I am almost ready to admit that we are the shittest club in the AFL... not juits team... whole club is a joke.

We need to train better. Better fitness and and skills and we'd be in this one. We would be in front by 17 points.

One positive to come out of today is that we will go in as underdogs next week against the scum.

We all know what happens with the underdog in those games!

Keep telling ourselves that and it just becomes one aspect of a larger problem at best. We have some talent but it all boils down to the same inability to face reality and become proactive instead of reactive. Most of our players have looked like champions or would be champions at at least one stage of their career, we only see what we want to see.

How much 'talent' have Collingwood got? We've got more top 10 picks than them by a mile. we just don't know how to use it.

They have something we dont - player development.

That is the most deplorable thing about our current situation. The lack of improvement and that fact that the teams development has stagnated or even gone backwards

Getting more spineless by the minute.

With Essendon* and Richmond coming up I can only imagine the pain we could be about to endure.

The small number of positive signs we saw against the Eagles last week are a distant memory now.

:yikes:

Richardson "They all want to back lead towards the goal - no one leads up to the ball carrier"

Who is responsible for this lack of organisation in the movement of our forwards?

Watch Eddie jump up with his junk time stats now.
