And no one seems interested in Fisher.

Article on the Carlton site says : Brad Fisher kicked four goals for the Bullants on the weekend but will need to impress the coach at least one more time before he gets the green light to return from pre-season LARS surgery.

I would've thought he'd done enough myself.

Impress the coach one more time means, if we lose one more time.

So much for the player's collective mantra that they don't take any notice
of the media.
(That is the back page you're looking at isn't it Mr Scotland?)

Hadley has gone as emergency...team not up yet. Gibbs' mum mustn't have sewn his number on his bag for him ;)

Good to see Ellard named on the field. Not sure why Hampson is in at FF ............... And as mentioned above, Hadley is the only bloke why flew over with the team as an emergency ...........

Interesting to note:

- Walker named in midfield
- Waite named back
- Yarran named on wing (not forward or bench...)
- AJ named on the ball (whilst Murphy named half-forward)

Whilst I know that the named line up is not a reflection of what happens on game day, I am wondering whether it is an indication of how the MC/Ratts are thinking or if they are trying to send messages to players?

Surprised that Robinson was dropped, given his intensity and the lack of it in most of the rest of the team.
I hope Johnson can pick up where he let off before injury - he was playing a lot harder than he had done last year.
I like Waite donw back. Straightens us up. He can go forward in bursts.

AJ must be playing to instruction...i.e. get minimal disposals....make sure ur opponent does well and don't forget to be lazy and un disciplined...

Slightly stronger team than last week but only by a whisker

really they have just change like for like

but I do like the way the line up looks but doubt it will stay that way

typical carlton - after such a pathetic performance only two changes - and both two of the very few that bust their guts!!!

west coast by five and us closer to the realistaion that something drastic needs to be done.

Jacobs stiff.

Shows the lack of depth at the Club. 4 losses from 5, and still no swinging of the axe. No one really to bring in.

Harsh JK, but I agree in as much as I don't think he's been playing well. The MC must see something in what he's doing though.

Great to see Ellard getting a game. If memory serves his one game for the Blues was at Subi. I seem to remember him kicking a fairly high-pressured goal from around 50 and thinking this kid might be ok. Game #2 has taken awhile, (not sure why he was dropped after game #1 actually - I think he did ok), but fingers crossed it's the second of many.

I feel a bit sorry for Wiggins and Fisher, but I can't deny that the MC are giving the young talent every opportunity which is surely the way to go.

Nothing radical will happen.

Ellard will take up a rotational role in midfield. Johnson will play through midfield pushing up to half-forward ala Robinson, and Warnock replaces Jacobs as starting ruck.

Gibbs & Scotland will drop back a bit and possibly rotate through defence to compensate for the loss of Lucas.

Well I think we're going to win and start getting back into form, but out of curiosity BB, what changes would you have made?

Good luck to Ellard hope he makes an impact, and I just know they won't play him in the back pocket but rather on the ball where he's mostly played all year.

I expect that with some good preparation and planning together with a desperate attitude the club can turn it around this week.

Obviously I was sarcastic in my comment above but I have watched him closely recently and he is a shadow of the player he was last season....has gone backwards IMO in leaps and bounds...very disappointing
