What has Sam Jacobs done wrong? Surely he has carried the rucks and deserves the #1 spot. Warnock will be rag dolled by Cox. My fear is we will play all three, having decided that Hammo is a full forward based on a qtr at the fag end of a lost match. May also be the MC looking for a time to drop Jacobs and pl;ay Warnock and then trade Jacobs as the 'fourth' ruckman so their over the top trade to get Warnock doesn't seem so preposterous. I haven't seen the Ants, but good judges suggest he hasn't been knocking the door down, and good ruckmen should dominate down there.

Anyway, we'll wait and see. Big call as we have to win against the wooden spooner

Really? I think Sam has more than a few mates who are struggling quite a bit more than him, where does this guy get his intel?

So others are struggling more than Sam. Does that mean we drop Joseph and replace him with Warnock? :donk:

It's either Sauce or Hammer.

Jacobs has been well down the last 2 weeks. He is looking tired (which is totally understandable).
Add that to the fact that we are playing on a big ground against 2 athletic ruckman, and it makes sense to bring in Warnock for Sauce.

Have we won any taps the last 2 weeks?
Hudson killed us, and so did Mumford and Pike.

ummmm do u guys watch footy or day dreaming , pike and mumford slaughtered us and hudson played well against us, think its time to rest the big sauce and try warnock, yeah there might be a few who played worse but they are midfielders.

That's not what I said, have another read.

To elaborate: Why must we pick Warnock? Sam is doing OK and although Hammer seemed poor in his first game and a half back seemd to be picking up the pace in the second half last week. I don't think our issues are in the ruck, it's our mid-field intensity and forward gameplan that needs addressing before we worry about giving Warnock a go. I'd rather see Warnock force his way into the team than be picked because we're paying him too much to run around in the Ants.

So why pick Warnock to improve our midfielders performance?

This is his chance. Has been put in cotton wool since he walked in the door at the club, and now it's time for him to repay the club for the opportunity he has been given. Time to start earning his money and showing why he was a good pickup. This will kill us for years if he shows us nothing in the next few seasons.

Agreed, and don't even get me started about selecting him to go head to head against Sandilands. Got so badly smashed it was embarrassing, the MC should have been sacked for Warnock or Hammers non-selection for that game alone.

Sammy is obviously a great kid, who follows instructions and some of his work to get into link positions is really quite good. But a number one ruckman he ain't, not yet anyway.

I find it interesting that not long ago, it was a massive secret to see the make up of a side, now, players are being listed as in days out from a game.

Also interesting to see that the Australian ran with this many hours before the local papers....

a-fucking-men, the idiocy of not including Warnock or Hammer even just as a back-up back-up!

Sauce has improved immensely this year, but he can't do it all and tbh needs a bit of a break.

Jacobs has definitely won taps, but they're not going anywhere. Probably needs a rest.

Warnock knows the ground and should be able to use his height advantage over Cox and Nic Nat to good use. Play him ahead of Jacobs who is showing signs that he needs a spell.
