Do the club think there supporters are a pack of fools or something.

If you're a fan of the club's facebook page, they've just uploaded photos 'of a very brief indoor skills session' for all to see....... now If thats a skills session then god bloody help us!!!

Not only that, they've been very selective and uploaded photos so it looks like everything is all hunky dory.

Now im not saying its all doom and gloom within the playing group but come on, how bloody obvious are they trying to make that they are trying to maks a problem.

Hmmm...I wonder....maybe because it's Tuesday, they did the review yesterday and have moved on. I'm not sure you get it Melvey...the players don't rock up as if someone's died. You have to keep things upbeat and positive and having a light kick to kick, some cycling, a swim or a light weights session is the norm a day and a half after the game with a trip west later in the week. Other than that explanation - I'm not sure what you want to hear or see?

I understand all that.

Just trying to mask these accusations of a crisis at Carlton by chucking up some hunky dory pictures on facebook just makes it even more evident to those saying such things. If there is no problem at Carlton then why feel he need to respond thats all.

I'd suggest the club is damned both ways 'cos those that want to see a fire smell smoke everywhere!

Not sure how the Comms Dept at Carlton is involved...this is quite a normal occurrence for the training pics to get put up.

Is it that the players were smiling? Damn - that's it isn't it....they showed a bunch of 20-something footballers smiling on the job. Well that's just downright disgraceful. I'm writing a letter to the Board. I think I'll raise this at the AGM...that is abhorrent behavior. They're just rubbing it in our faces! How dare they! Smiling...playing kick-to-kick on a Tuesday morning and smiling.

Shit - imagine if the internet was around in the 70's and 80's! It'd be more a case of 'Drinking? Sitting in the Social Club and drinking on a Tuesday morning - how dare they?! Sakc (sic) Parkin

you'be been saying there is a fire for two years.

Its either the longest burning fire in history

or eventually
there will be a fire

and you'll be proved right

if chicken little lived forever and forever he cried 'the sky is falling ... the sky is falling'

eventually he might just get it right.

...And? Who gives a flying !@#$%& what Synbad's opinion is. Keep in mind that half of the anti-Ratten bandwagoners are only doing so because they got it so horribly wrong with Pagan. I was hounded down in this forum when I dared suggest Pagan was a hack of the highest order and the game had long passed him by.

What about the other half of the anti-Ratten supporters? Are they right?

Sure I had some run ins in the early days with Synbad. But I liked most of Synbad's posts.
Most of the time they were on the money. He is a passionate Carlton supporter, albeit he was a bit repetitive at times.
He got his point across nevertheless.

+1

This is why I'm not about to pat Synbad on the back either. Too quickly he and a few others start bleating about the Club's performance, and given that a few of them have the ear of board members, eventually this repetition permeates into board comment and action.

I'm certainly not blaming them, but I'm not really pleased with all the potting of individuals when those doing the potting aren't exactly privy to all the facts.

Heres a thought.

- Why not play Walker on ball side by side with Judd.

- Stop playing Grigg in a negative role and have him and Walker on either side of Judd.

- Let Simpson, Yarran and Murph carry the ball.

- Get lucas and Davies playing off half back.

- Play Gibba, Scottland, Lucas and Davies off half back and rotating through the middle.

- Teach young Hampson not to just hang out 10 meters out from goal and move a round a bit.

- I'd play Thornton as a permanent forward pushing up to the wings. Same with Henderson and have Waite and Hamspon the next kick with Betts and Gartlett under them.

To know the players will have two hit up targets coming out of defence in Henderson and Thornton is far more productive than bombing inside 50 to little Eddie Betts and Gertlett.

Technically, if they're all part of the same plan and it's all related to the other, then it is just the one thought, albeit segmented.

Now seems like a good as time as any to stick by that creed.

I guess that depends on whether you are on a first name basis with anyone at the club.
