Scully and Trengove look as good as Murphy and Gibbs. None of the four look to have anything particularly mind blowing. All midfielders who know how to find the ball. Only Murphy (last year) looked to be a goal scorer, but in 2010 that has dried up a heap.

Watts has a nice kick for goal but is a bad reader of play.

Kreuzer was a good kick for goal in his first year and can read the play spectacularly. Needs to kick the goals again once back from injury.

Jizz Bits has disappeard, much like McLean.

Right at the minute, so true  I thought Murphy was really developing into a top-liner, but his last month or more has been average. He is a talented down-hill skier, as are a lot of the Carlton midfielders. Gibbs is far from a game-breaker. Nice player, but nowhere near a star. Would love him to prove me wrong.

Neither Gibbs & Murph are playing with any confidence.... the two young Dees boys are yet to have 2nd year blues...They're just full of enthusiasm atm/

Trengove has them this week. Scully is due for second year blues any week now.

I agree with this. Don't think it's got anything to do with ability. Our whole team looks like its playing without confidence at the moment.

murphy and gibbs are so over rated by us, one is a down hill skier and the other is as soft as butter , trengrove and scully will be miles ahead in 2-3 years time.

agreed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have said this for 2 years....Gibbs is overrated. Simpson is our second most important mid.

Have a look at the time of the post. Do you think I was in the mood for a balanced argument?
Further, the response matched the quality of the original post.

He is just in a form slump atm.
I know it is after a bad loss from the team, but it shows how truly fickle some posters are.

I detest the way players just walked through Murphy's tackles yesterday, pathetic stuff from a number one draft pick, obviously no one has taught him how to tackle with authority. You can guarantee the opposition will be highlighting that to their players and letting them know they can just waltz straight through a Marc Murphy tackle.

You obviously haven't read my previous post. I said it last year actually. You can wet yourself over his meaningless stats. Bottom line is, he adds little in the way of impact on the game. People look at him with rose coloured glasses cause he's a good kick and cause he's a #1 pick. I hope he changes, but he's been in the system 3 1/2 years. I'm not fickle in the slightest. I just refuse to become a slave to the propaganda that enshrines him.
