Excuse me for being sane - but if you want to see these players (tiller, casboult, cachia, dare etc) they are developing in the Bullants. Most of the ones you mentioned are rookies or are some way off being promoted to play senior football.

You mightn't care about that (obviously don't) - but what we're doing is actually putting games into kids as we speak. Garlett 23 games, Hampson 30, Joseph 39, Jacobs 15, Lucas 8, Robinson 21, Yarran 19 are some examples from today.

If you want them to get hurt or get completely demoralized then go right ahead and ruin some careers. This isn't the ammos. We're playing for sheep stations here. Get a grip.

I havent been a fan of thornton for a few years. I see him as a full back only but have always seen Jamo better in that position.
Not on current form though.

Out Carazzo Jamo
In Thornton Ellard

If thornton throws his head back or abuses everyone else in the backline for his mistakes it should be his last game.

I would line up like this:

B: Walker Jamison Russell
HB: Armfield Bower Tuhoy
C: Johnson Ellard Simpson
HF: Garlett Henderson Yarran
F: Betts Waite Robinson
OB: Jacobs Judd Murphy
IC: Walker Davies Joseph Grigg
EM: Austin Scotland Fisher

IN: Ellard, Tuhoy, Davies, Johnson
OUT: Gibbs, Carrazzo, Lucas (inj), Walker (Susp.) of cleared then Scotland.

Time we played some youth and put some well performing young tough keen players into our side and give our midfield a real shake.
Get rid of a few useless players who are willing to only do the easy stuff.

Richmond have done it and got results by dropping some very talented but soft players.
St. Kilder did it to Dal Santo and Milne. Collingwood have done it to Lockyer and Anthony and the Bulldogs have done it to Aker and Eagleton.

It's about time we stepped up to the plate and sent the message to our weak core group that if they aren't willing to play as leaders and play with some heart that we'll bring in some fresh young players who will.

I'd be very surprised if Walker got done by the tribunal. The footage clearly showed he tried to stop a meter before the collision and the turf actually caused him to slide and create head contact

No Thornton stays with the Ants and Jamo can join him.
My KPPs would be Bower Walker Waite Hendo Fisher. Play Fish deep leading from the goalsquare and rotate the others forward and back as required.

........AND CAN WE BAN THE BLADE BOOTS PLEASE??? They're crap and unsuitable for the surfaces we play on . Back to the drawing board NIKE...!

You cant drop six players and bring in six kids but I would slowly introduce some youngsters to give them a taste so they have some grounding for next season.

Davies and Ellard are the obvious two that might get a taste....and White when fit. All have some form in the Ants and have the bodies for senior footy. Today wasn't the side to do it against.

Very much a tale of two halves today.

Gibbs was continually moved around and punished by his team mates in the first half, fine in the second. He may not be setting the world on fire, but he's not really getting the chance to.

Murphy was absolutely woeful in the first half; completely lacking confidence, and at one point gave away a shot he would have been happy to take mere weeks ago. In the second half he was about as defensively disciplined as I have ever seen him. In my opinion, he saved his bacon with that form reversal.

Russell, Armfield, Walker, Bower, Joseph and even Jamison were victims of the lack of pressure in midfield. Jamison, however, was woeful in everything but following his man. Has to go back to the VFL, which is where he should have gone last week. In comes the bloke who should have stayed.

Waite was all over the shop at times but so was the rest of the team in Ratten's ridiculous roll down. I'm glad he abandoned zone defending in the midfield for the second half; we looked much better for it. However he's been instructing the players on zones seems to be confusing them, as they zoned off and closed down much better in their attempt at a man-on-man defence. Back to Waite: he deserves another week despite his inept and lazy field kicking, simply because he had a dip.

Robinson was definitely the victim of the coaches instructions. He is not a modern day half-forward, and never will be.

Judd, Scotland and Simpson were consistently put under pressure by their team mates ball movement and the surface, and then when those two didn't get at them, the weight of their own expectations seemed to. They need a bit of help.

Henderson, Garlett, Yarran & Betts all had a real dip and all looked dangerous for periods of the game despite the midfield allowing Sydney to set up something of a siege; their necks are spared.

That leaves Carrazzo; how a senior player can be so mindless and self-satisfied is beyond me. Since the Saints game, his stopping jobs have been over-hyped, and consistently inconsistent. This guy keeps getting a free pass when he should be a candidate to win the ball inside, and provide protection for our other clearance players. It seems he has sacrificed just about every other aspect of his game to be our midfield shut-down guy. Time for a break, because apparently the half-time bake did not help you.

Finally, an issue presents itself with Lucas having another hamstring twinge: why are our players coming off as lacking zip, or incapable of laying a bump? Are we over-working them during the week, or are we under-supervising their conditioning and they're taking short cuts with stretching, physio, etc. I know Cordy does his job well, but what about the physio and medico staff that work with him, or does it come from the coaching side of things exerting pressure to get required players in the match-day mix? We have had a number of players hit a physical wall, and very few of them have recuperated.

If Houlihan isn't right to go, I'd think about bringing in one of Johnson or Tuohy.

I heard Kennedy and Le Cras are coming to Carlton in a package deal trade for Ratts, and a dozen sausage rolls from our cafe.

Fair point with the Swans hard bodies...agree on Ellard and Davies.....Subi will suit Ellard.
I'd like to see Casboult promoted down the track and given a go so we can setup witha more traditional forward line.
I know he hasnt done anything special yet and probably doesnt have the fitnesst to play 100 minutes but I'd be giving him a go.

Ellard has been banging the door down for weeks. Must come in. Carrazzo has been pretty horrible and should make way.

Jamo was also very poor but I expect he will remain in the team and may prefer the open spaces at Subi to the dome.

AJ may have been put under pressure by loose centreline play and turnovers up the ground but the fact is that he was soundly beaten by Shaw, who rarely plays as a forward. He doesn't provide much going the other way so he should go out too for mine.

Chris Johnson has played a couple of very good games in the Ants and should replace him.

Lucas out injured and I would bring in Davies or Fisher. If Fisher, play him out of the square as a lead up no further than the 40 mtr mark, with Waite and Hendo roaming. Eddie to be lead up next to Fish and crumbing all over any that drop.

I would consider Gibbs in the forward line also. I would like to see him running at the ball andmaybe have Murph playing from the back pocket. Let's experiment a bit.

In: Ellard, C Johnson, Fisher/Davies
Out: Carrazzo, AJ, Lucas

Line up somethin like this, few different ones but i think we need that.

FB: Davies Jamo Army

HB:Russell Bower Walker

C:Simmo Judd Grigg

HF:Garlett Hendo Waite

FF:Betts Gibbs Fisher

Foll: Jacobs Murph Ellard

Int: Hammer Scotland Carrots Yarran

If Walks gets suspended which i reckon he will either Johnson or Thornton will return, dont really want either but one of them will.
Would like to see gibbs have a crack at FF, beautiful kick, nice mark and is a decent size.
Waite & Hendo playin across HF.
West Coast have a fairly small fwd line, LeCras is the danger man, Walks would be suitable if he gets cleared, probably Russell next, but apart from Kennedy they dont have much unless they play Hansen or Lynch who havent done much so maybe Jamo could take him, hes deceptively quick i reckon.
Ellard straight in the guts doin te grunt work
Davies straight into the backline
