Davies must be blooded into the seniors.

Armfield dropped after his effort last week, get a grip. :banghead: Thank God he was out there actually playing like he gives a stuff.

I like these changes. We havent played well since Thornton came back. I think he will be better suited to another team. I dont mean that in a harsh way i just think his game isnt suited to the blues.

Carazzo is in line for the next round of phase outs. I hope he can get the runwith game down pat and avoid the axe but if not we need to start blooding an upgrade.

I am looking forward to watching this weeks game. Playing a bunch of kids probably wont get us a win first up but it will be exciting to watch and we will be better for it going into 2011.

Go Blues !

I had armfield as our best last week, can't see him being dropped.

hampson improved as the game progressed and dropping him this week makes about as much sense as dropping grigg one week back and then bring him back in again.

warnock needs to be played at some point hopefully.

maybe if hendo pulls out all three big guys can play. I dont really see hammer as much of a forward though but atleast he stuck a few contested marks last week.

Agree club29 - what do you think we could get for Thornton and Carrazzo?

Carazzo will play the Houlihan defensive forward role this week. It's a role he is suited to.

I thought Hampson was as useful as Setanta last week, rather see Warnock in

Agreed on Dennis and Hammer (though I think you mean Hammer improved last week :) )

I'm hoping the possible inclusion of some infrequent visitors to the senior side will a)see them playing with fire and pride b)spur on the rest of the team into playing like they give a stuff.

I wouldnt think we would get too much. Probably more for thornton than Carrazzo due to his position. He is not a bad player just not a great one and isnt really suited to our style. Carazzo would be a depth player at any other club except maybe one of the new ones.
I like him as a bloke and as a tagger but i dont see any venom in his game. I think we can find/develop better for his position in my opinion.

Armfield was our best player last week by a country mile.

Surely GC17 will find some value in them 2-3 round pick. I'll take it.

I wish Ellard all the best ... but ... from what I have seen in the past ... Ellard strikes me as a good Reserves player.

Can only live in hope. :donk:

Really hope he plays

Great to see Houilhan and Thornton out

I reckon they are giving Hendo right up until Sunday morning to see if he is fit enough. I saw some footage last night on CH10 and he didn't look like he would play.
So if Hendo doesn't play then i think both ruckman may play and rotate forward and help out Sauce in the ruck.
But i agree that Ellard deserves to play and the dropping of Grigg after just 1 game was illogical.

Thornton is a liabillity in our backline and with White and hopefully a fully fit Austin we have players who offer more for the future.

im sick of hearing that grigg was stiff to only get one week back in the seniors, he should not play. Had his chance and played an absolute stinker

Same goes for hammer, bar 1 or 2 marks last week, the guy added nothing at all. Around the ground he did very little. Warnock must be given his chance as i think when he went out he was playing his part ok, certainly offered more than hammer has so far.

We cannot afford to carry any out of form guys in the hope that they will find form. This is very costly in the modern game. Hopefully 1 of Ellard or Davies gets a crack and shows the old boys what it means to play for this magnificent jumper.
