It's GREAT to see Lucas named on the field !!!!!!! Thornton needed to be booted, and Setanta needs a rest. Would like to see Armfield, Ellard, Davies and Hampson on the bench (Sorry Grigg, Warnock and Mitch)

Will be interesting to see what happens if Henderson doesn't come up. No obvious replacements on the bench .................

Ratts said Fisher rolled an ankle in last quarter of Ants game and would not be considered for selection this week.

Got the right balance down back. Jamison and Bower as the talls, Walker can play tall or small.

In fact, save for Kreuzer and Houlihan (and maybe a fit McLean), it's probably our best 22. Don't think either O'hAilpin or Thornton are currently in our best 22.

+ 1. But maybe you should have added a "switched on" Hoops, which isn't always the case. And Kruez = 3 men.

Yeah, the Club needs to ban players getting write ups or TV segments on them. Before last week's game it was Houla and the 3 Amigos, and once again, going down media street followed by poor on-field performance.

Oh, and we really struggle for depth. Hawthorn just dropped Brad Sewell. Quick, offer him a load of cash...and a boat...and some house renos...

Well those selections somewhat ease the heartache of the last week. The MC are showing some balls, but so late! It was obvious Irish had lost his mojo a few weeks ago and Ellard deserved a game sooner; he potentially personifies what we were screaming out for Sunday - g&d.

Now, let's see what team turns up......Big Kev, I'm too scarred after Sunday still to get back on baord yet....

and PLEASE, have the goals/behinds ratio in the black after the first quarter!

Me too. Ellard deserves a run. Solid every week in the Ants. Will be very interested to see how he goes at the next level.

Likewise. While Ellard may have some shortcomings (or may not - we'll see), he certainly doesn't lack in balls, determination or team-focussed work ethic - all qualities that have been sorely lacking in many far more highly-credentialled players for some weeks now.

It's an indictment on those that played last week that I'm enthused by the possible prospect of a promoted rookie setting an example in these areas, but frankly, I've had enough of these 'Generation Me', DreamTeam point-watching soft-cocks that show no passion for the jumper, or won't play for each other.

Still think we are lacking another marking target in forward 50 with that side. The non selection of Simon Wiggins is a disgrace.

Hopefully this is the last time we ever see Thornton in a Carlton jumper

Good selections this week.

Let's just hope for a bit more system this week that gets some dividends.

I'm very confident Tom. On top of being happy with the team, Sunday will be the first time I've taken both my young boys to a game. The younger one wears a #6, his older brother #30, (this year anyway - and I can tell you it took me ages to unpick that #25 at the end of last season), and of course I wear #5, (cos I pretend I'm the boss).

We are going to have the BEST DAY OUT EVER !!!

Good for you; and their good numbers to wear. I took my two young sons last week, one with #3 (he also used to have that other number) and the other #4 (mainly because he's four years old and its hilarious when he says "Gibbsshhy!"). After the game last week they shrugged their shoulders, said oh well, and asked who we played next week. I tried to learn from that!

Houlihan is injured.

People who have watched Houlihan this year would know that he's been a good player in 2010.

You'll probably tell us that Hardwick has Cousins, Moore, Polo and Cousins on the straight and narrow because he's so tough. :garthp:

A good statement by the MC.

My I/C: Davies, Ellard, Grigg & Warnock

Apologies to: Armfield, Robinson & Hampson.

Like Keogh said great to see both out and Carlos as well as all 3 in the last month have been very poor and AJ very lucky...

Oooh. Close.

If they drop Hammer they are kidding themselves, but it seems unlikely. Ellard is all set to come in.
