Too much in-fighting and finger pointing. I was at home in Brisbane, on my couch, and even I heard Jamison call Russell a scumbag.

Worst example ever.

Carazzo has no penetration at all in his game. Is too slow to get a kick away that can help the team and is no good in and under. In 2007 he gathered heaps of possessions sitting at the back of the pack. I think most will agree our b & f award was not a great indicator of a good footballer in that era.

I dont mind Carazzo as a tagger though.

I'm starting to think they really do believe their own hype.

You can search through Geelongs website and I can guarantee you won't find a "Joels Junk"

Had a look on Hawthorns website and couldn't find a "Hodges Round Up" anywhere.

Setantas Little Helpers

Betts: 7 disposals, 0 tackles and 0 goals.

Yarran: 10 disposals, 1 tackle and 0 goals.

Garlett: 12 disposals, 6 tackles and 2 goals, Did his job.

Speaking of Setantas Little Helpers, where was Setanta?

3 disposals, not a mark to his name and didn't even look like kicking a goal. Not good enough from a FF.

Bryce Gibbs had 33 disposals, yet I hard he was only operating at 45% efficiency? Not good enough if true.

Oh dear. If you want to consider yourself a footy supporter, and expect to win every week and win the premiership every year, you're going to go through 99% of your life disappointed.

It was a bad performance. We've had a few of them this year and a few good ones too. Such is life. The sun will still come up tomorrow.

Maybe.

That performance was pretty much in line with what we have dished up for the past month and a bid.

Supporters thinking we were "flying under the radar" have egg on their faces.

We don't have a top 4 list.....potential is worth little until it is delivered on.

I wonder how many tipped us this week.

Yes we have had the wood on them in the past, but Fevola has the wood on them, not Carlton. He turned the game to the Lions' favour in round 4 in the space of 15 minutes.

I backed the dogs @$1.60.....I was very unimpressed with Hammer and Irish last week against the calibre of Staker. Pmsl at the "flying under the radar thread".
No Waite or Kruze, Bower 1st game back, our mids out of touch.
Our current form is of a team in the 10-12 bracket.

Seriously, why did we extend Ratts contract before season's end ? We knew there could be a chance that a good coach would become available.

We are the laughing stock of the AFL again. My Filth mates (yep there are such things) will be so very smug tonight, and I've been telling them that we were close to the 17th :screwy: :screwy:

@#$%#$%$#$###$

unfortunately, on that performance today we are closer to 17th on the ladder........

Carrazzo was brilliant inclose in 07. very strong with the hips and was able to stand his ground to dish off handballs.

he went in and got the flower ball.

He wasnt a tagger then and didnt worry about his direct opponent as much as he does now.

Ratten has turned him into a defensive player . he should be better.

Even good coaches @#$%&! up

Look at Goodes and Roos

Plays him on the ball today rather than a key forward

33 possessions 3 Brownlow Votes and 3 goals anyway.

Too negative:

Jamo
Thornton
Carazzo
Joseph

Not enough players willing to put their heads over the ball.

I haven't heard any other coaches doing this. Next he'll be refering to supercoach points.

We play like a dumb team....i think thats a reflection (poor) on the coach.

Well today showed exactly that stat's DO sometimes lie!! - we were pretty much even across the board on most stats at 3 quarter time and were so far out of the game it was scary.... so i hope we dont hear any mention of them this week.....

bottom line was a lack of effort and willingness to run (both offensive and defensive) - not sure if you can measure that but they were so far ahead of us in any way you choose to measure it.

that and the pressure on the ball carrier (and ultimately our delivery) was the difference

Some observations:

* Ratten's training wheels were exposed today - hopelessly outcoached and failled to make ONE effective change. Even throwing "Setanta the Ball Magment" down back to freak-out Hall would have been something...

* Lappin as forwards coach is a first class train wreck. He is dining off a few successes at the beginning of the season.

* Judd. We are wasting his time and skill expecting him to carry an entire midfield week after week. I hope our young guns are enjoying the closeup view coz soon Judd will be dead from trying and it will be suddenly be up to them. Which brings me to...:

* Leadership... Two of our younger guys actually may have won their positions - or at least looked like they were trying. Armfield was everywhere until wiped out by Thornton... Did anybody notice Thornton didn't even go over to see if Armfield was OK after breaking his nose? Soooo self obsessed and poor leadership from somebody who should be our General down back BY NOW. And young Henderson - wiped out by three other more senior Carlton players (count them...) going for the same mark - nobody crumbing in one of our dumbest football moments this season... Is there any report on if we have wrecked his knee yet?

* Skills. Endless turnovers and direct passes to the Doggies without any pressure from them. Is Lake formally part of our forward line - he was our leading linking player...

Not one player was excellent today.

A complete balls up.

No heart...see baby Tigers to learn...no spirit...see ditto
No cohesion. Seemingly no game plan.
We are not getting better

Everyone.

Good effort Armfield. Judd tried out his guts. Ditto Garlett.
I liked Walker and Hammer picked up the tempo....what else? Waite's back next week.
I'm so glad I didn't go to the game. That was as bad as it gets.

That's 3 thrashings in 2010 (Coll 56 Hawks 50 & Dogs 68).
We've plummeted to the dark depths of a few years back.
Get Hardwick.

I've always unashamedly been a supporter of Bond as a coach. He's still around.
Modern, tactical bla bla bla. He and a few others like Hinkley, Sanderson...they're around.
Dunno about Ratts nor how good he is. I haven't seen much yet.

Disappointed for the club

Last Years Fremantle and Adelaide game is where the signs were not good for Ratts. We may sneak into the finals but we can not win a premiership with this gameplan. Cut the chord now and say thanks to a nice guy whose heart is in the right place and makes a great assistant but just isn't a number 1 bananna

Not enough hard work being done by players and coach. I think it's best summed up by the following list of names:

Hampson
Jacobs
Armfield
Gibbs
Judd
Henderson
Joseph
Simpson
Walker
Murphy
Garlett
Yarran

Those not on the list don't deserve a game next week, with the possible exception of Scotland & Bower. That's nearly half the team.

How the players expect to be able to find targets inside 50 when they amble up the field with the ball, running into the space offered to them by the opposition rather than working with each other in an attempt to move the ball on. Quick ball movement gets you 1-on-1 contests and decent disposal puts the ball to your mate's advantage. Neither were happening.

The result? Half a dozen opposition players just jog up to our 50 and flood the thing. Ball turns over around CHF and sails past all bar about 4 of our players. Easy goal ensues.

That is definitely not a game plan issue, but it's a matter for coaches and players to sit down and get a good line of communication going instead of finger-pointing amongst themselves or at each other.

I am so sick of seeing blokes barely get into gear and then wonder why team mates don't honour their leads when they don't have any separation from their opponent. I am sick of players being afraid to go for goal, or run out of ideas of what to do with the ball. Pull your fingers out of your collective arses and get on your @#$%&! bike; have a @#$%&! dip, or keep pedalling out the @#$%&! exit.

Kicked 4 goals today (17 in six games) - give him a run I say

I should note: pretty sure Eddie rolled his ankle early on in the first quarter. Was walking gingerly on it for a good while.
