*pre-emptive* Sack Ratten!

@#$%&! it, sack the lot of them. Not a single player out there can be proud of how they played today. They should be ashamed to be wearing navy blue. I know I am. I hid my scarf in my bag upon leaving.

Have a look at the headline on the Carlton website

"A 68 point loss to the Bulldogs means the Blues will have to work hard to earn a top 4 spot"

TOP FOUR??!?! WE WON'T MAKE THE FRIGGIN 8 AT THIS RATE.

After leaving the game at 3/4 time in disgust I swore not to attend any Carlton games before things change. We have played sheissenhausen since the Hawthorn game. The team is soft as butter and has lost its run and skill. At stages today I was womdering which draft prick we could get for Murphy... (ok - just a fleeting moment of despair).

Something is wrong, either there is a split within the team or Ratts has lost some of he players. I don't care what it is, but the administration and the Board owes it to us long suffering supporters (and yes - I have attended every home game in the dark period) that the club takes advantage of one of the most talented lists in the land.

I am angry, I am frustrated, I am sad..... people should know tat I have always been one of the "moderate" "glass half full" posters. But this is it - I had it!!!!

We just have too many dumb footballers in our team and our forward entries have to be worst in the league, no creativity what so ever.

Hampson, geez how he was a top 20 pick is beyond me.

Would that make any difference Doc? If you have lost the confidence to perform the basic skills it will need some special work to rebuild.

That performance simply cannot be mitigated. No more excuses.

We have to hold ourselves to a higher standard now and be ruthless in our approach.

Imho we've gone backwards in the past 6 or so weeks and considerably so. I pose the question, what is being done about this?

worse loss of the season .... bummers loss was bad but this effort was on another level. How can we keep on defeding this heartless, down skier team when you see what Hardwick is able to do with the Tigers in half a season.

The tigs are playing with heart and soul ... have won 4 on the trot ... with a list that was laughable at the start of the season ... goes to show what a good coach can do ... Ratts needs to really lay into some nancies in the team.

Time for pussy footing and excuses is over ... sick of hearing the young team bs excuse.

Grow some balls guys ... after tonight would prefer we missed the finals and played the kids for the rest of the year ... and I am not over reacting.

When will enough be enough ... fire up Ratts ... players are either not following ur direction or u sux ... the team is playing way below par the last 5-6 weeks ... just not gg
ood enough on too many levels.

Is there something going on at the club that we don't know about? Do all the players hate each others guts or something?

Disgraceful performance, not sure where we have gone wrong since we were defeating teams like Geelong, St Kilda, etc ...

Our self belief has gone, too many passengers, Waite being suspended ... the other teams have worked us out. Ratts needs to do something different in terms of strategy or else we will continue to get spanked

Ok I'll kick off the standard excuses list for this week...we're young we are a developing side we need time...it's the players fault....and on we go....hopefully the real reasons will be addressed at seasons end...

I see Richmond are also young and developing....and can string 4 wins together. Yet the moment we lose after 2 wins, the usual sugarcoating comes out about our excuses about inconsisent, young, inxperienced etc.

If I was a player and the coach was sacked on his birthday, it'd certainly get my attention and get me to take my head out of my arse.

Today was unacceptable and has been the recent trend. I fear drastic action is required or the season will fast slip away, if it hasn't already.

First time I can ever remember leaving a game early. Disgraceful and it has been coming for a while. This is a side that is confused, frustrated and as a result is playing without spirit. Over the past weeks losses to WB, Freo, Nth Melb, Hawthorn have shown we are a long long way off the pace. Not only are the loses bad but in particular the WAY we lost them.

Serious questions need to be asked of the coaching staff. This is a side in trouble and spiralling downwards very quickly. What is also disappointing is the lack of development in our players. If changes aren't made soon we could easily be in for another lean decade.

To quote Terry Wallace "I am going to Spew up"

We have played terrible footy for nearly 2 months but have deceived some by beating bad teams like Demons, Power and Lions.
Today was the final straw, The fish rots from the head (To quote Tim Watson), work it out

Oh dear. If you want to consider yourself a footy supporter, and expect to win every week and win the premiership every year, you're going to go through 99% of your life disappointed.

It was a bad performance. We've had a few of them this year and a few good ones too. Such is life. The sun will still come up tomorrow.

Maybe.

Goes to show you cant fix holes with gapfiller forever... Setanta has been beyond awful for some time now.

We have no defender on our list who actually enjoys a physical contest... Jamo was completely bitched by hall.

Bret Thornton is still in the side...

Get me another Mitch Robinson... please.

Paul Bower, use your @#$%&! huge body to crush some people.... I remember being told in numerous games I played 'crash into that guy all day... make it as hard for him as possible'... Why wasnt lake ironed out by Hammer or someone early on? Where is the heart? The BEEF??

WHAT THE @#$%&! WAS THAT?

Dude your living in la la land believing all the recruiting spin.
We don't have one of the most talented lists.
We have an unbalanced list with many holes and too many players that are poor users of the pill.
We also lack players that play with ferocity on a consistant basis.
