I jumped up when Mitch was shoved in the back and did my own back. Spent the weekend on a walking stick.
Bloody umpires fault.

For the record, Carlton rank 11th in the league for free kicks for and 4th for least free kicks against. Not nearly as bad as some teams.

The "blaming umpires" after a loss excuse is one of my biggest pet hates in football and unfortunately Carlton fans seem to be the worst at it

One of my biggest pet hates is supporters referring to the free kick count when discussing the quality/shitness of the umpiring.

One of my pet hates is people who believe they are being persecuted when it is obvious (and provable) that they are not.

If you think we are being crucified I suggest you peruse Nick's, Bomberblitz, Saintsational, Punt Road End or any other club's supporter site. According to their supporters, every team is being screwed by the umpires. I ask "How can this be?".

Just reinforces that the standard of umpiring in the AFL is universally shithouse

Tony's Talkback from the Cooldabeen Champions circa 1995 -

Digger; "Those umpires crucified us last week."

Tony; "No, I don't think so old timer. Next caller please."

Massive Merv from Moorabin; "That old blokes got it all wrong, Tone. The umpires are crucifying St Kilda Tone."

Tony; "Get him off. Next Caller."

Peter from Peterborough; "Tony, I was going to talk about something completely different but those previous callers have thrown me completely. Anyone can see the umpires are really crucifying Geelong, Tony."

Tony; "Get him off. Next caller."

Cliff from Clematis; "G'day Tony, heard a rumour. A bloke down the pub whose 2nd cousin used to go out with Ian Collins' sister-in-laws auntie reckons the AFL have instucted the umpires to crucify all the teams. They want them all to go out of business so the AFL don't have to worry about footy at all and can concentrate on MARKETING."

Tony; unable to speak.

At least other clubs have the guts to complian when they do feel they have been hard done by!

Which is way more than our pathetic club ever does. I'm not blaming the umpires at all for yesterday's game but certainly we had a strong case against North Melbourne & Fremantle. No matter what other posters feel on this divisive topic - if you stay silent you get scewed. The silence is deafening at OO!
