No Henderson pleaaassseee!!

Really?

So no tall forward then?

Myself, i'm hoping Ratts persists with Setanta this week but for the love of god actually leave him up forward. I can't stand that type of football. There are reasons as to why we lost by 30 points last week - it's because we simply had no forward line!!!!! :banghead: :banghead:

Interesting to see if McLean gets another call-up. I'm not sold at all on him. He looks too slow and he's basic skills are way down.

Waite to play forward with the bats ( Yarran, Garltlett and Betts )... along with Houla and Kruzer resting down there.

Mclean shouldnt be selected, i dont think he offers up much

The d*g Crowley is a good tagger, i wonder if they will send him to Murphy and conceed that they wont be able to stop Judd

Do you think so? I reckon we lost because we had no run out of the backline which slowed us up through the middle which meant we couldnt hit up the leadsjust past the centre which meant we couldnt kick over the spare man.
The push up and lead back to goal tactic worked a treat against the saints. We tried it again but other parts of the machine didnt work.

Aggree with you on the back line, but we still won the ball in the middle but from where i was sitting (right at the back row with a perfect birds eye view) it looked like we got into trouble when we actually won the ball but found nobody to give it to cause all our players were in the same section of the ground.

Frustrates me beyond all hell! :banghead:

Pim and Ratts must have had a beer or something together last week.

Very tough call this week. All things considered from Ratts' comments and what we've seen, I'd still say...

IN: Bower, Yarran
OUT: Browne, Robbo (inj)

Jacobs was better again last week and that's gotta be gold in a team that loses so badly.

I haven't read all nine pages of this, but seriously.

McLean has shown nothing in a Home & Away game better than what Hadley provided last week.

In fact he had games early on where he was obviously out of his depth. I won't cop being injured as an excuse either. It was rabbit int eh headlights stuff.

McLean may get a game, he may not. After all, Hadley didn't cost us a first rounder so it's not really a fair fight at the selection table.

Critiquing Hadley on his effectiveness 'outside the contest' and then pining for Mclean to be brought in as an improvement is just a personal bias, based on exposed form this year.

I don't really care who plays as long as they get the job done. But to pot a bloke on that aspect and then suggest mclean would do the business is ridiculous.

McLean was close to BOG v. Richmond

In: Hampson, Yarran, Bower
Out: Jacobs, Browne, Robinson

Russell Jamison Joseph
Walker Bower Armfield
Murphy Scotland Simpson
Yarran O'hAilpin Houlihan
Garlett Waite Betts
Kruezer Judd Gibbs

I/C: Thornton, Hampson, Hadley, Carrazzo

I'd also want Hendo for Setanta and Someone for Joseph as he isn't playing up to the nessessary standard imo.

Important Roles:
Bower to Pavlich
Jamison to Bradley
Joseph on Ballentine
Carrazzo to Barlow

I dont understand why anyone would want to drop Jacobs. :?

As far as I'm concerned, he's rucking far better than the big K and he gives a bit of a physical presence around the ball. He's also taking a few marks and showing second efforts at the stoppages. He's a keeper IMO.

Yes, well the heat was certainly on that game.

I think we can agree that Richmond in the first five rounds was glorified VFL at best. FWIW he had 6 kicks vs 20 handballs so to suggest he was effective outside the contest may be a long bow.

Here is my line of thinking. Jacobs isn't really as damaging as Hampson around the ground, and lets face it as good a ruck as he is it isn't going to matter against Sandilands who will beat him everytime. We may as well cut our losses and go for a guy with a hope of exposing Sandilands around the ground via speed, and i think we can agree Hampson will be able to do this better then any of our other Rucks. I agree though Jacobs is a keeper, but for the sake of the team i'm going for Hammer this week.

Just my opinion.

I have a feeling they are going to bring in Hampson as a forward. Waite will play more half forward/wing and Ohailpin will be played more up the ground to get him more involved in the game. Having those 3 big guys gives the team a lot of flexibility with the ruck but also Waite who can play wherever he is needed.

I'm now thinking

In: Bower, McLean, Hampson
out: Browne, Hadley, Thornton

yep..plus I would add McLean to the Ins..not because he is better or worse than Hadley..but just from listening to Ratts talk about it last week.
Not sure why Jacobs would be replaced when he has been playing his heart out.

I should also add it goes without saying that we will absolutely smash Freo this week. If we can beat St Kilda and Geelong coming off shocking performances then Freo will present no great challenge.

It's really sad when your team is this predictable.

Would love a thumping win which includes a thumping of Ballantyne and Crowley...

Santy to stay one last week.
Would consider T-bird for Bower and Henderson to come in

The club intimated there would be 4 changes and I think they'll stick to that

In: Henderson, Hampson, Lucas, Yarran
Out: O'hAilpin, Browne, Joseph, Robbo (inj)
