I would drop Jacobs not from form but for picking a team against the opposition you are playing. Sandilands will win every hit out but where we can make a difference is mobility around the ground. I would include Hammer and drop Jacobs. Hammer and Kruise can work hard down back and up forward.

What's the go with Warnock? Why isn't he in line for selection? A bit disappointing really if he's going to be on the sidelines and the club moved heaven and earth to get him...

HAdley dropped???
Jacobs dropped???!!!!

Come on guys, you have to be kidding.

And Jimmae, when you finish your job with the International Monetary Fund, and the anti Hadley league, perhaps you can apply the statistical blowtorch to your mate McLean's stats. HAdley's game last night in a side that was flogged was way better than anything McLean has produced - and I don't think he is the answer. He has to be because McLean has been such a profound disappointment.

And Psych - you can't be serious! Dropping Jacobs? He is so far our best ruck at the moment it isn't funney. Big K - who I think is great - is way out of form. Maybe he is sore, in which case I'd give him a rest this week and then he has the break, and give Hammo a go.

Browne and AJ should go. I' d give most players another chance as they have been good most of the year, but this is the last chance for several. AJ should be dropped not just for awful form but for shocking, selfish ill discipline.

I'd consider dropping TBird, who would be unlucky but on a fast track like the dome he struggles, and gives too little penetration for a lose man.

I certainly wouldn't rush Yarran and Bower back. Army looked short of a gallop and players regaining fitness and touch will probably struggle at the Dome. I'd love them back, but not underdone.

I'd bring in Hendo and play Waite half back or wing. I'd consider Grigg. Alsways had high hoped for him na dstill hope he can start to contribute. We need a really good flexible plan from the MC.

Don't know what we do about Sandilands. And he will really stretch us if he goes forward. I'd give Setanta another wek, and he becomes an option if they load their forward line with talls.

PS I should have read the Bullants report first. Bower and Yarran played and I would expect them to come in. Be interesting to see what they do with the rucks. Might they rest BigK? Can't see them playing three rucks, especially when one is down on form. Love to see Hammo in and Sauce couldn't be dropped. Interestin selection dilemma. Maybe Hendo's game wasn't good enough to get in, but BigK certainly doesn't look in good enough touch to play as a key forward.

McLean's drawback is a bit different and one we all know he needs to improve on: he has a disposal to possession ratio around 0.85 to 0.9, or that he only distributes the ball 9 out 10 times he receives it.

I've seen his quick hands at work, so it's there, and he blocks, shepherds and harasses, and he did so from the word go. In-form, he is superior to Hadley, and I think he's going to get a go this week.

From waht I saw at Vic park yesterday I would definitely rush Bower and Yazz back. Bower especially was in fine touch & I would also play Henderson who could have kicked a few more goals albeit for the tricky southerly breeze.

I wouldn't be surprised if Brock came in as they took him off for and rested him for the last 10 minutes of the game

What I think should happen:

Out: Brown (good wet weather player), Joseph (needs some time with Bullants), Thornton (unlucky), Kruezer (needs a rest).

In: McLean, Grigg, Bower, Hampson

I think McLean will be ok in the end ... trouble is I don't think you can play both him and Hadley against the quicker teams. I think he is a slightly better prospect than Hadley but there is not much in it.
OK .. Fremantle is one of those quicker teams ... so maybe I would rotate McLean and Hadley off the Bench.

I would also like to see Lucas come back in after the break.

What I think will happen.

Out: Brown, O'hAlpin, Thornton

In: McLean, Bower, Henderson

Have not been really that happy with the Match Comittee. I think they need to be less conservative ... take a few risks.

Forgot Lucas- should come in as well. He is a class act

If you have any 2 of Robbo, Browne or Joseph as outs, Lucas is an absolute shoe in to be back. In our best 22 prior to his injury, we have short memories around here.

Ins:

Bower
Lucas
Yarran
Hendo
Grigg/Ellard

Outs:

Robbo (inj)
Joseph
Browne
Carlos
T-Bird

5 changes is the max, but 4 of the 5 outs are "fringe" players, arguably 5.

Worth noting - in our two wins against teams above us, we have had the 3 amigos creating havoc in both, hence why I have Yarran back. We must get them back together for this lot. I think they will play Kreuz in the knowledge that the break comes straight after this one.

Given how conservative the MC has been I doubt there will be 5 changes.

I am not sure conservative is the word. They have taken plenty of gambles and made a number of big calls. Most have paid off too.
I do however think that they can be quite trusting after a loss and give players a chance to redeem themselves.
This week though, i think they will ring the changes. Id say they will make four.

In: Yaz Bower Henda Lucas
OUt:- Robo AJ Carlos Brown

I think Thornton may hold his place on the bench.

Hampson to make his return after the break.

If Bower wasn't ready to go after his solid Ants game y'day I would agree Club, but who else makes way for him? Bower was bought back for huge Pies game after 4 weeks out, just can't imagine the MC not putting him straight back with benefit of an Ants game to boot. He's a gun, reckon we must have him back, especially with big Pav lurking inside 50.

I would leave thornton out but i reckon the MC will keep him in as an extra tall (insurance) and bring in Bower. Just a hunch.

I wouldnt give up on the mobile running backline myself.

With Freo losing today, next week we'll be playing for an outright top 4 position. Oh hang on, no we won't, we lost to North. :banghead:

Big game for both teams before the break. Freo lost 2 on the trot and we need to win otherwise making the 8 will be very hard.

Would like to see Yaz, Bower, McLean and Lucas in. Setanta needs to stay in assuming the amigos all play.

Huge game for both sides.

Pav has been down the past 2 weeks so that spells danger for us, unfortunate as that is. Thought Sandilands was pretty ordinary today too.

Thought they lacked run and spark for large parts today. Only that little flower was offering them something in the first half.

Still, at their best they are a very dangerous side and will be a huge challenge for us.

My minimum expectation is for us to bring our 'a grade' intensity and hit them hard with pressure all over the ground. If we don't come prepared to do that all night, it'll be another unpleasant result.
