Pros:
Ummmm
We won a lot of ball from the middle and got some clean inside 50s which was good to watch
Betts tried hard
Murphy continues to improve his running game
Jacobs is getting better each week

Cons:
Ratts is improving, but disappointed he couldn't react well enough to close down Thomas
Mentally week effort for large parts of the game
Mental fragility has been a recurring theme in 2010, despite otherwise good progress
@#$%&! Harvey kicked the winning goal
@#$%&! Thomas kicked 7
AJ had a shocker, he'll be better next week

Pros

This result might flatter next week's
Hadley isn't better than Mclean :sly:

Cons

No run
Injuries to two of our best
Judd wasn't 100%, so he wasn't in the middle when we needed him the most

Juddy injured? When did that happen?

Lets blame Collo and the AFL for Juddy and Eddie's injuries...

Cons

1. Coaching committee - badly badly outcoached tonight...kangas compressed their zone...forced us wide and we could not adjust on the night or come up with any answer !

2. Browne - I want to like the boy...but I fear he will spend more time in red than blue this year barring injuries

3. Joseph - a night to forget...but he has more credits up his sleeve !

4. Krezuer - failed to have any impact....and I thought this stood out a bit !

5. Umpires - I really try to ignore them at the footy...but I just couldn't tonight !

6. walker/russel/armfield - nup !

Pro's

1. It's a long weekend....

that'll do.

Pro:- Betts finding form

Cons:- Thomas being too good for all our best running defenders
- Not scoring a goal in the last
- Carlos is out of form
- Immature mindset going into games like these

Pros
- Betts & Jacobs tried hard.
- We have Bower, Yarran, Lucas, McLean, Grigg and Henderson to come into the side.

Cons
- Joseph. Skills were terrible and needs to become more than just a stopper. Bullants next week.
- Browne. Too small & slow for AFL.
- Robinson. Love his grunt but he is at best a fringe player.
- Hadley. Doesn't do enough IMO.
- O'Hailpin. 2 bad games in a row - maybe give Hendo a run?

Pro: World cup has started. I flicked off and watched the pre-cup shows because it was pretty clear we were not 'into' the game from early on.

Con:
Russell had his first poor game in a long time tonight. Hope he can bounce back.
Suckratten crew will return like moths to a flame this week.

Pros:
Betts
Gibbs

Cons:
Browne not up to AFL standard
Irish not up to it should be playing Henderson instead
Thorntons days are numbered
Robinson is a gun bullants player but thats where it ends
Jospeh had a really bad game...had plenty of mates
Kruiser has to do more

Pros
----
Hopefully the penny will drop soon that if we don't come to play, we lose.
Waite & Betts tried hard up forward
Changes next week (bower, lucas, henderson, yarran, mclean?)

Cons
----
Unfortunately, Setanta did not do enough
Ditto Browne - he kept going at the ball softly
Thomas was generally unstoppable BUT we let him in not playing him goalside
Too much kicking forward blindly
Not enough tackling
We are not mentally ready for top 4
very disappointing.

we failed, again, at the test of winning this sort of game. soft.

The first quarter when the game was there to be won was appalling. You can't have 21-8 errors and expect to win. Catch up all night after that.

Pros - I left early enough not to be there for Harvey's goal after I paid out on him all night including the contest on the wing that he absolutely squibbed trying to win a free instead of the ball and we ended up goaling.

Think most of u are being very kind.

Worst performance by CFC for the year.

Ratten totally clueless on how to a. get this team to be hungry for more than 2 weeks in a row and b. stop Thomas (should have had Jamo on him).

Hunger is one issue, the other is toughness. Could u imagine the Hawks of 2008 letting Thomas ruin us so easily? They would have knocked the little flower out. Why doesn't someone at CFC in R12 show the gonads to do something to turn the tide?

Gibbs thrown on ball when we are 7 gls down, Ratten does this all the time.

AJ, JR, Thornton, Santy, Scotto, Houla worst games for a long, long time.

If Ratts is serious he will drop AJ, Santy, Thornton, Browne among others.

In hindsight, MC made a mistake not replacing the Thorntons and Brownes etc

Murphy needs to harden the @#$%&! up.

So $h!tty but I'll try be positive

Pros

Cons:
Beaten by an inferior team
Setanta is struggling, ran under balls and his opponent had 20 plus touches
Thomas killed us (see point 1)
Gibbs disposal in the first, numerous turnovers
Walker see above
tackles didn't stick all night
clearly financial assistance isn't all they get

A really immature performance from I guess what’s still an immature team. Too many inexcusable efforts and errors from players that you would hope should know better.

PROS

1. Hadlee – doing what McLean was recruited for, in and under, dishing it out well.

2. Carrazzo – shaky early but came back to beat Harvey IMO. Is a reliable tagger now.

3. Gibbs in the middle – Much more useful than he is in defence. Why does he only get moved into the middle when it’s panic stations?

4. Eddie Betts - had to replace Fevola as the only credible forward.

5. A wake up call for these blokes to provide some real consistency before reading their own publicity. We have not been able to string more than 2-3 good weeks together and this needs to be a focus as we move forward.

CONS

1. The whole defence – A disgraceful effort. Didn’t play tight enough and conceded too many soft goals. Joseph, Armfield, Russel, Walker all played their worst games for the year and looked rattled. Our game plan relies on these blokes running off and if they’re all down its game over.

2. The forward line – too many ineffective I50’s. Houlihan, Setanta were poor. Waite kicked three but wasn’t a good target.

3. Walker – After BOG last week, gave away silly frees, didn’t want to play tight on his man and misjudged numerous marking contests. Needs to learn from it.

4. Browne – not good enough. Lost one on one contests. Bullants.

5. Lack of run through the corridor – the game plan broke down once the defence was beaten. We won the clearances and breaks but it didn’t matter because we could not break the lines.

Inability to string together consistent performances. A hallmark of our young team, but good performances have been punctuated by poor football against Coll, Haw and now North. We must try to eradicate these regular off days.

An off night.

An opportunity lost.

Not acceptable.

Once again we get rolled becase the players are not drilled into enough. They walked out like millionaires and played like millionaires and walked off losers.

It's comical seeing Lindsay Thomas and a bunch of 18 y.o's smashing our guys.

20 Possies, 11 contested, 80% effic., 7 tackles ... those lieing stats again eh?

Pros:
* Gibbs was excellent, great in the centre
* Murph worked super hard for not much reward
* Eddie was terrific, good to see him convert his set shots
* Waite worked hard
* Bower, Lucas, Yarran yet to come back
* No injuries and there's next week to fight back

Cons:
* Browne was not hard enough, not bringing enough to the team
* Love Army but looked like he could have done with a run in the 2s
* Setanta's forward pressure and lack of intensity, may need a rest
* Out worked by North, more at the contest, harder at the ball, lost the contested ball
* Umpiring was appalling ... a tackled player only has to fall forward and drag the tackler ontop to win a free & now if u stand still and the ball carrier runs into u with his head, it's a free!! :screwy:
