Win a final or two this year and memberships will recover.

Thats an absolute crack up

It probably deserves a thread of it's own as it might get missed by a number of people in this one.

Sounds better, still disappointing to be 3,000 down on last year though.

I don't think Hitler missed any population, it wasn't only Jews who suffered.

Take it for what it is ...... Humour!

Interesting to note the AFL Membership Department have released each club's "Club Support" figures, with Carlton ranked second behind Collingwood. Top five are as follows, and surprise surprise, Hawthorn did not make it. AFL membership on average costs around 200 dollars I think (depends on the type though..), so it seems Carlton get a bit of revenue from it.

1. Collingwood 10824
2. Carlton 6646
3. Essendon* 6276
4. Richmond 4193
5. Geelong 4134

Bit of a gap between the top five and the rest too.

Hawthorn's ranked 6th and their total of AFL club support members is 3202.

While it is only AFL membership, the beauty of these stats are that there are no pet memberships available and I'm pretty sure all have substantial games access...so the rigged figures that we see normally from clubs looks to be off by a mile. Further, I would say the top three or four of that list are about right with the way memberships are actually tracking as a whole.

Dan, a Full AFL Membership is $395 per year or $325 for a Resticted Member

Not many pets can afford that in comparison to a normal club membership

Unfortunately though most of that goes to the AFL coffers and we receive the normal cost of a club membership so about $131.

On second look it may be more than $395. Might be $450.

What would get for $450 in terms of a club membership?

Yeah, it varies from the different types of ones you can get. My silver AFL membership cost $180 regular as a concession, but all up about $220 because of the four game reserved seat package I bought which was an extra 40 bucks. So in terms of my arrangement, $131 out of $220 going to the club is not too bad at all.

Thats $131 on a full priced membership. It would be the equivalent for a concession priced membership.
