A big to Brett Ratten on the way he handles Press Conferences.

Enjoy watching the coaches talk after the game; most give you nothing, some give you less (thanks for coming along Mick) ... Ratts is just so refreshingly honest in his responses. Without giving away sensitive info he gives a real insight into strategies used and why, how he felt those worked for them, assessment of individual players' games, incidents etc.. fantastic stuff Ratts, it's really appreciated by the supporters.

Oooh yes... to Simmo for proving me wrong when I couldn't see anything in him in the early days.

Gee Loza, I couldn't disagree more. IMO, Ratts is embarrassing and amateurish in front of the media ATM. Hopefully he'll improve with experience.
Thankfully, he can coach OK.

For me, a big to Lachy Henderson. To get dropped, go back to the VFL and kick 8 shows character and determination. This kid will be a long term KPP for the Blues IMO.

Big to Mitch Robinson for having a fairly average pre season both on and off the field, only to get back in the seniors and rip it up.

Big thumbs up to Lapping and Montgomery. They cant go claiming victory over the haters just yet but they are well on their way.

After our past decade I'd be happy with just some mediocrity and some longer term hope. We have much much more than that

Jumping into the love fest
1) wer'e 7-4 at this stage, not my pre-season anticipated 4-7
2) we may finish in the top 8, again not my pre-season anticipated 9-13 finishing position
3) we're doing better without Fev
4) Russell is an important part of our team
5) Jamo is incredibly witty (& a contender for All Aust in the next year or two)

I agree. I think it's great when a coach comes out publically in support of young players. Got to really help them develop the necessary confidence at senior level.
