Yep. Leave the media stuff to the likes of:

"Dale Thomas, shown here tying his shoelaces before going to fetch the morning paper'

On 3AW last night there was a damning stat from David king. Whilst the backline may appear to be strong we are actually ranked 5th for turnovers out of defence.

Some of those would be kick ins.

In a weird way this stat is a reflection on how well we are defending. We are getting the ball out of defence a lot more then previous years because our defenders are competing a lot better. A few years ago we didn't have the opportunity to make mistakes coming out of defence because the opposition scored goals. The more rebounds from 50 we get the more mistakes we will make, its inevitable. Although I do believe we need to do better with this, the stat is not a true reflection on our defence as a whole.

a question the either of you may be able to answer...
I believe that a player does not obtain any stat for a kick-in from a behind, unless he plays on, is this correct?
If yes then does a player kicking in receive a clanger or turnover stat should they directly turn the ball over from a kick-in??

The David King comments came in response to a caller who reminded him that pre-season King had told the same caller that he thought West Coast would have a better season than Carlton and that Carlton would finish bottom 4.

I'm not sure what relevance our turnovers coming out of the back 50 over the last 5 weeks has in relation to the question, though.

Not that it particularly matters, but it's pretty clear listening to King over recent years that he doesn't particularly like Carlton.

It's also pretty clear that listening to anyone, David King isn't particularly liked in general.

Dear media, please stop writing positive articles about Carlton cause we can't handle it just yet. Thanks.

There should be a blanket ban on newspaper subscriptions with all our players
