Judd, who went through an emotional day when he lined up against his former team West Coast for the first time in a Blues jumper, said it could be a difficult day.

Next week Bower takes Thornton's spot but Armfield doesn't take Browne's spot, he takes Anderson's spot and Yarran takes Browne's spot as Browne was the one trying to play that half forward role.. It didn't work but that was the plan at the start of the Eagles game.

If T.Bird is the third loose man in defence, as people have pointed out, then they wouldn't drop him..and if as you say it will be Army for Browne...then....doesn't that mean Joey will have to go when Bower returns?

I agree the kid is playing OK and developing nicely and that development might be accelerated playing at the highest level.

But at the moment Jarrad Waite is our best option at CHF and Carlos is doing the job at FF .... so where can you play Hendo?

Those who want to play a third tall up forward haven't been paying attention to what has been working well for us. And there will be those who say play him down back (probably instead of Thornton). He is not a better backman than Thornton; and how does that help his development as a CHF anyway?

I think this is good selection .... maintains good team balance with best available players. Hendo's time will come.

As for McLean ... doesn't seem right physically to me but whether due to injury or form I don't think this is a surprising omission. Hadley was better than McLean last week.
