CARLTON will regain Jarrad Waite and Ryan Houlihan for Saturday's clash with Melbourne.

Waite has missed the past two weeks through suspension while Houlihan has missed the same period with a hamstring strain.

....

Important defender Paul Bower will have a test on his troublesome quadriceps muscle, but Chris Yarran (thigh) and Kane Lucas (hamstring) will miss at least one more week.

Heath Scotland hobbled off the field favouring an ankle late in Sunday's win over West Coast, but will take his place in the side.

No mention of Armfield.

Army was interviewed before the game on Sunday on 3AW and he was asked if he would come back this week and he said he would be out for probably 1 more week.

So unless he is making things up I would think he is a Round 12 inclusion.

I may be the only one here, but I hope Joey keeps his place. I still think stringing together 8-10 games will help him feel at home and do his confidence the world of good.

He's very good at filling space and getting in front of the big forwards to spoil, has plenty of courage, is versatile, a team player (saw him pick up Cox and Natanui when they went forward a number of times and covered until Jamison was able to switch) and I've been amazed at Bullant games at the amount of leadership and direction he provides. I even noticed him starting to direct teammates on Sunday.

I agree. He is just starting to show some good signs and it is the right time to back him and let him grow in confidence as was done with JR...

..we've definately had a focus on trying to quell the influence of the opposition's playmakers down back.. ..stopping Davey is a must, Carrots on him i figure, another player to limit is Grimes.. ..possibly Hoops with the other shutdown role..

I dont care who we bring in or drop

We should smash Melbourne regardless.

High tackle count and high pressure will win the game against a bunch of kids

Jamison, Waite and Walker should be able to take Watts, Miller and Bate.

Bate might be too clever for Thornton.

Ando's big spoil on JK one out and reading of the play plus the body work to mark that Priddis kick to the square was fantastic.

Good long kick on the outlet after that mark.

Should stay.

Fantastic to play on Saturday again.

Does the AFL still do that? :sly:

Will need to get Hadley and Mclean matched up against Bruce, Moloney, McDonald and Jones who are also slower mids.

Still a place for both this week.

It will be interesting to see how Scully goes playing against his Dad's old team for the first time.

Hate this club! We need to beat them
They took tanking and cheating to new levels last year. Helped them amass an incredible array of talent. And all and sundry just wax lyrical about how great they have gone with their recruiting while we have just cheated our way to our list!

Sh!ts me to tears!

I hate them too. But in a different way. 2000 QF still hurts

Sure does...but I have moved on...wait, who am I kidding, no I haven't

You're forgetting 1988 and 1994.

The thing I am happy about is the attitude at Carlton this week. It seems that they are unhappy with the lapses of Sunday and are treating Melbourne very seriously. Complacency was our biggest enemy.
