Is this a private joke I am missing? :?

It's okay, anyone can play. Here's a list of terms to use when you deem it appropriate...

guttered
rapted
GIBBS
Is Carrots even eligible for the NRS?
:garthp:
GIBBS
GIBBS

Thanks Camel. The Carrots and garthp I get. But why Gibbs in caps? What's the origin of that one?

Couldn't quite work out where to post this, but here goes anyway:

Just heard from my source that Curly and the Seagull are close to new deals. Curly was obviously waiting on his best mate, the Gibblet to put pen to paper and is a moral to extend now that its out of the way. The Seagull is just as important IMHO, as he will be the key to Yazza and Jeffy committing. He would sure like to keep his little brothers in the fold.

Hi Brizzy

Sorry to sound dumb, but who are those players you are talking about.

Is Yazz in negotiation yet ?

Nah, most of that originated in the main forum.

Guttered and rapted came from the 2005 Ashes series.

Curly is Mark Austin (Aussie to some) after Curly Austin. He has the same number 21 as well as the curly hair. The Giblett is Bryce Gibbs. He and Mark were school mates back in Adelaide and both came from Glenelg. The Seagull is Eddie Betts, cause he pounces on the pill like a seagull on a hot chip.

Yazza is Chris Yarran and Jeffy is Jeffrey Garlett. Kapishe?

I worked it out, although cryptic, there were a few hints there on the Seagull. Well put.

Awesome brizzy, I knew curly, gibblet and Yazz, but was not sure who Seagul was. Never heard him being called that before.

Thanks for the new, be good to get these guys signed. Especially Betts, Garlett and Yazz.

Was so happy to get the text from Bryce about his re-signing. I thought he handled himself really well on the footy show too. There is a good interview on the club website with Russell.
Lets hope those other re-signings will happen pretty quickly, especially the 3 little helpers.

I actually think $425k is pretty cheap for Bryce.
I know he's young but he did finish top 10 in the Brownlow last year (along with Murph)(I think?)
I know the Brownlow can be a bit of a joke but still a decent effort.
He's had a quieter start to this year but I think a fair bit of that has to do with the role he's being asked to play.
I still think he is the most likely to win a Brownlow in our side other than Judd who I think will win it this year.
