Happy accept for Anderson keeping his place, guess he is lucky with the injuries to similar players........Has he played 3 lost 3 this season?

Anderson did this one play last week where I thought hang on, if this kid can do that at every contest he's in, he will be a very good player. He just attacked the footy at full pelt, clean hands and had a lot of aggression and pace. It was off half back, I was a little surprised.

He's been doing this for a few years in the 2's. Hasn't been able to bring it to the big stage, I think he suffers from a lack of confidence/not believing he belongs at this level.
He's always had the potential. Really has to take every opportunity he gets now.

Sounds like what happened to Russell.
I would've thought Anderson would be delisted in 2012, but never said it.
Now I'm thinking, hold on, maybe boarding with the Cazz's he's leaned how to be tidy, but he was shy because Cazz's personality...well it's BIG.
If he's just moved out, he may have come out of his shell ala Russell....and his life as an AFL footballer may just be starting. This may be the break he needed.

Good luck to the kid.
If he can replace.....um...um...arr.....someone.....there's a spot for him if he's better than........um...err..ah....um...

Here is the team that the age posted:

B: Aaron Joseph, Michael Jamison, Joe Anderson
HB: Steven Browne, Lachie Henderson, Jordan Russell
C: Heath Scotland, Andrew Carazzo, Bryce Gibbs
HF: Marc Murphy, Bret Thornton, Kade Simpson Ryan Houlihan
F: Jeff Garlett, Setanta O'hAilpin, Eddie Betts
Foll: Matthew Kreuzer, Mitch Robinson, Chris Judd
I/C: (from) Marcus Davies, Shaun Grigg, Richard Hadley, Ryan Houlihan, Sam Jacobs, Brock McLean, Andrew Walker

In: Houlihan, Hadley, Walker, McLean, Grigg, Browne, Davies
Out: Simon White (knee), Dennis Armfield (quad), Chris Yarran (quad), Chris Johnson (wrist),

Seems like we are going with a four man half foward line... I like the idea having 19 players on the ground compared to 18. It will help us so much with our forward pressure.

I prefer the old VFA's 16 man line up with no wingmen...only because I hate the cluster and the StKilda wall.
I wouldn't want to be playing in a team of 16 at Waverley, MCG or Subi though.

There I go thinking I'm a kid again....I can't even sprint the length of the field...I can only jog it....slowly

Onya Cazz.
Man, you must have stuff stored on your hard drive about everything, plus there's your addiction to music, which is in storage somewhere, then there's probably the old vinyls, tapes, CD,s...is there any room there for an Ando?.

I remember meeting you Cazz and Mrs Cazz a couple of years ago. Great night, and you're both good fun to say the least.
You mentioned how great a kid Ando was whilst he was boarding with you, and that he was terribly shy at the time.
I was introduced to him by Mrs Cazz and he was shy...very cute and a big smile. A very likeable kid.

I still think he's a tough SOB, with an AFL body and AFL pace.
After watching him a few times this year, I get the feeling he's stepped up, but not quite there yet.
He seems to have all the right tools.

Is it a case that he is shy and doesn't feel he belongs? Is it a confidence thing like Russell?
Or is it that he hasn't been given enough opportunity to give him time to show us his wares?
I tend to think the latter, because he has shown great signs over the years, and he's still young.
He seems to be over those niggly injuries which held him back and that's something posters have to remember.

How's Anderson going in your opinion Cazz?

I like the idea of having two Houlihans in the side as well. The one on the HFF is fully fit but the one on the extended bench has some hamstring tightness apparently.

This is the first game I'm going to this season, so I'd better get me money's worth.

Well the good news he is consistently one of the best players in the Bullants so that indicates he is preparing well and knows what is required to get back into the AFL. He hasn't dropped his head and he knows he is knocking on the door of the AFL most weeks.

Joey just needs to get a decent run at it. His position is hotly contested so it is tough to get in and stay in.

Yes he makes mistakes along the way but so do 99% of the rest in his identical position. Physically he has all the best AFL attributes. He just has to take his chances when they come along and make the right choices coming out of defense.

He's still a ripper lad.

....looking forward to watching Krooz versus Cox.. ..Krooz modeled himself on Cox's style and back in those days Cox was in ripper AA form.. ....Krooz will need to push forward to pose a forward threat, like he did so well against port.... ..atm i reckon Krooz is fitter than Cox, so he needs to use that to his advantage and make Cox follow him, and not the other way around....

I have a feeling Jacob's will do really well against West Coast. Nicnat will try and use Jacobs as a launching pad but Jacobs is a smart player and has the ability to position himself so he gets first use by protecting the space in front of him and the ball . A lot of the time we will see Nicnat jump really high but only to fall short of getting to the ball first because Jacob's will be positioned perfectly (it may force him to jump too early). I'm hoping anyway.

I have no idea what I am on about.

TIM CLARKE

West Coast coach John Worsfold is dreaming if he thinks the Eagles will be challenging for an AFL premiership by 2012, according to legendary coach Leigh Matthews.

In a cutting estimation of the Eagles' hopes this year and in the near future, the four-time premiership coach said West Coast's playing personnel was nowhere near good enough to challenge the competition heavyweights.

"I have no idea how John Worsfold – except in his dreams – thinks the Eagles are a premiership side in two or three years. I don’t see that at all," Matthews said.

Thanks Lethal.....
