Regarding Brock, Tex and Bower this is what Carazzo had to say in the Q&A on the CFC website:
Quote:
Updates on the boys. Brock will push for selection this week if all goes to plan with his training. Walks and Pauly will also be pretty close but may need another week.

Remember the Eagles are without Kerr & Masten plus Glass is in doubt so they won't be 100% either.

..can't play three rucks, drop the idea.. ..the whole notion of the 3 rucks is Krooz playing as a KPF.. ..which is gonna leave knockers and jacobs vs cos and nicnat.. ..and cox is regaining his form.. ..we have a near fully fit center brigade, use it as close to full strength as we can.. ..that's where we'll win or lose this..

Assuming Glass misses (and I think he will) then that takes a lot of pressure off Setanta.
West Coast will also give us a lot more room to move than Hawthorn, so if we can focus on getting our hands on the ball and keeping it (no spastic handballs) then we should be able to get the goals flowing.

Need to keep Priddis quiet, as he is starting to come into some real form.
maybe Carrots on him?
Also our defense is a worry without White. If we can't match up on JK and McKinley they have the potential to really hurt us.

Not sure who gets the job on Le Cras... He tends to play well against us.
Maybe Armfield can make him accountable... assuming he pulls up.

Hopefully McClean will be fit. If we can focus on dominating the midfield then we should be able to win regardless of what Cox and Naitanui do.

I am nervous about this game given the amount we are being stretched....
But we should still win by 2 to 3 goals if we are serious about playing finals.

Very important game as a win will take the pressure off and allow us to relax and feel confident about melbourrne, who are starting to turn into a danger side.

Nah, we're the only team in the AFL with injuries.

We will flog them. Our boys have an off week once a month ( :sly: ), but are quick to regain form, and that form is far too good for the Eagles.

JR/Gibbs can take LeCras.
Austin on Kennedy.
Jamo on McKinley.
T-Bird on Lynch.

The player to watch is NicNat if he plays forward.

As much as people bag Brock McLean, he was the type of player we missed against Hawthorn on Sunday and will be a welcome addition if he is fit.

Looking forward to the Kreuzer - NicNat battle.

Special K to lift for the occasion and with the skipper will lead us back to the winners list.

A fit and in form Brock was missed against the Dawks. I doubt we need him as much against other teams as we would against the Dawks, but then again, I haven't seen him play in form for about 3 years.

If Austin played on Kennedy, who would play on Kennedy when Austin was rotated to rest. Kennedy is a hard running CHF, with a lot of stamina. Austin just started his 2010 campaign in th Ants and has 1 game under his belt. There's no way he could play 60% of AFL game time if he plays on Kennedy imo. Too much of a risk, and imo underdone. Never know though.

I reckon Lynch will monster TBird, but we really don't have too many choices given our injury list and the addition of White to it.

I really don't want to see one of the WCE talls have a day out like Buddy did last week because we didn't have the height and strength to match them.

It has to be won in the middle. I suspect Judd and Murphy will have a huge say after last game's average return.

The Kreuzer- Nik Nat battle is one I've been waiting all year for. Sick him Kreuzer.
I bet Kreuzer shows him up and stamps himself as the premier young ruckman in the league.

OWAAT tonight detailed how the Hawks picked us as a soft side and went about exploiting us physically.

To me, it's almost the ultimate insult. After the weekend, it's hard to argue.

I'll be expecting a response accordingly from the players this week and for the rest of '10. Nothing stupid or ill disciplined, but the appropriate hardness at the contest and at the man. One hundred percentage intensity from all players.

Good news. We clearly have missed McLean over the past couple and really need him up and running again. Juddy been hit from pillar to post and that is not something we want.

Should Mclean come back through the VFL or straight in?

The fact Bower came straight into the side and re-injured his quad has me worried about Mclean's fitness.

Completely different injuries. McLean could have played on Sunday but they gave it another week in case.
