I havent written anything up in the Blueseum for a while and was thinking the other day about the above topic. Any takers?

Best I could come up with was:

John James

Wayne Blackwell

Jack Wells (as per Patzfitrick's suggestion)

Tom Carroll

Bruce Comben

Lance Whitnall (only 200 gamer to not win a flag)

Matthew Lappin

Any other takers?

Horrie Clover was the best player in Carlton's history to never have won a flag.

Beat me to the punch!

Hamill deserved it for the traitor he was, personally I just feel aorry for Fev ... if he was a little smarter and a little less selfish on top of a better team player he would have been a real asset in the team rather than the liability I always knew he was!

Berkley Cox

One of my boyhood heroes. Came back to Launceston after playing with Carlton, played with City South and played in a state premiership in 1966.

Legend!

Of course. He's a standout, looking through all he offered both on and off field.

The eras 1915-1938, 1947-1968 and 1995-now offer up some pretty stunning playing records and player stories, particularly the first two.

On the Blueseum in a finals article it says 16% of all players (181 as at end of 2009) had won a flag at Carlton - what a stunning record. So our next flag takes us to over 200 premiership players in navy Blue.

We have been lucky in our history that there are no real standouts because premierships have come consistently, at lest in the last 50 years.

But we are at risk that the likes of simpson etc might fall into that category. Lance is probably the standout since 2005. Hammil probably would be included to but left.

Chris Judd has a flag but not at Carlton.
He is currently the best Carlton player not to have won a flag in a Carlton jumper.
If he does not win a flag by the end of his career at the Blues he will be the best Carlton player to never to win a premiership ever.

Wayne Blackwell was my favourite player for a while so it's a shame he never won a flag with the Blues.
