206 not named so guess that means Hendo gets a chance.

I think we can manage that without bringing in another ruck.

Id hate to see us go too tall. We know we play our best with a good running team. Id like to think we will stick with that.

2 tall backs, two tall forwards and two rucks. The rest a variety onballer types.

I agree.

Play Betts in the ruck. Just to take the piss.

Not confident about this game. Have an insurance bet. OK, not proud but I gotta go with the instincts. Gut feel v Saints was a win for us by a LOT. Paid off big time.

Hope we smash them though and I'm down $20

Given only one tall in, White must be cert. Phew.

Hoops will be given every chance to play per Ratts presser, so there must be a doubt.

Ando/Browne - Lucas
Hendo - Waite
Robbo - Hoops (if out)

Happy with the ins. I expect the final cut will be

Browne for Lucas
Hendo for Waite
Robbo for Hoops ( )

The tendency all year has been for those with injury doubts end up missing so 3 changes for mine

I'm a huge Hadley fan, but I hope he doesn't play Sunday. He's been out for 2-3 weeks now and his
match fitness much be in question. Have a run in the two's RH, get some form then press again for a
permanent spot.

Garlett, (obviously), Henderson, Johnson + 1 of the other three. Personally no preference, depends on
the MC's match ups.

We finally enter a string of games that we "should win" - and that makes them all danger games. Would be good to get them back for their recent dominance over us..........but have a feeling it'll be very close. No pressure on them, as their season is basically "gone", and they still have the danger men up forward who could do anything.

Must be foccused and win the tackle count, as we have for every game bar one, the Filth fade out.

would be a pity to make too many changes to the side based on last week - of course other than necessary for waite and lucas

however, based on reports during the week, worse case scenario could be:
robbo for houlihan (hamstring)
browne for armfield (hamstring)
anderson for white (shoulder)

....i'm all for a fit 22 having the best chance of winning, in this scenario our balance may be tested (if all of the noise is true)

or perhaps the run off the wing/hb (from lucas) is to be compromised with hadley as an in ie to support Judd against hawks hard ball potential of mitchell, sewell and lewis

mmmm... injuries throw up new challenges

2 things worry going into Sunday;
1. Except for ruckman, Hawthorn fielding their best team yet.
2. Our injuries are mounting
We must be ready to play.
Early in the week I was extremely confident, now I'm not so sure.
This again will show how much our team has improved.

Armfield was a concern last week... he came up fine and ran out the game superbly.

Here's my take:

Henderson for Waite
Browne for Lucas

If we lose White, Anderson comes in, and if we lose Houla, Hadley comes in and we change the HF rotation with Carrots & Simmo featuring more. All of the inclusions make sense except Robinson. He needs to stick to the VFL and learn where to run.

If we had the same team as last week, I'd say we'd cream them ...

Losing Waite and Lucas are big outs ... Waite for the dynamic target he gives up forward and Lucas for his run and class.

We're missing some real key players now from this team: Bower, Waite, Lucas, Walker, MClean/Hadley (depending on your preference). If then Houla doesn't come up (one of the best improvers in 2010) we start to look less than a certainty. Especially given the return to full strength of the Hawks, that forward 6 of the Hawks looks scarily good when in form.

IMO will be a closer game than expected but trusting in our boys to punish a weak Hawk's defence ... ahhh and a rubbish ruck division!!

Looks like Hawks are tryin to beat us at our own game....
Rioli, Peterson & Hooper
Vs
Betts, Yarran & Garlett

too bad they dont have the quick backman like we do to cover them.
Army, Joseph, Russell, Browne, Ando
vs
Guerra, Brown, Whitecross, Birchell, Suckling, Muston

Given pace has been our best weapon I think Anderson would come into the team before Browne. Especially if it is to take the place of a small running defender against Peterson or Rioli.

If Hads can get up and tear the game apart, I'll be a very very happy man.

Need to take the pressure off Murphy - The only way I can see this happening is when Maclean or Hadley return - Judd doing a lot of inside work and Murph is copping the out side heavy tag - Need to get Judd back outside and let them worry about both Murph and Judd - Murph was slipping forward and kicking goals his recent work in the midfield since Maclean has been out has limited his ability to do that

Get Hads in if fit for Lucas
Henderson for Waite

and if Hoops is down bring in Anderson to play that negating forward role - his uncertainy with his own ability makes him a liability down back and his turn overs cost us dearly early on

With Mclean injured and Judd taking a battering Hadley is in our best team for the rest of the year. Play him now.

If we manage to beat the Hawks with this lineup (without Waite, Bower, Walker and possibly Hoops), we should be very proud of ourselves. Although the Hawks haven't got the wins on the board, they are still a pretty good team having only just won a GF two years' ago.

Some insurance with Sportsbet on the Hawks for me too. Can't believe they're paying $3.12...
