Rexy, I get the impression some on here are running with the "Ratten was a dud but since he is doing what i said he should be all along he is now ok" line. This is the rubbish that gets on my nerves.
I dont believe his plans have changed that much. He is just getting a better effort, has found a better mix, found the right team balance and the players are doing what he asked all along better. You may see it different. On that we will have to agree to disagree.
I'm sure we're both aware of numerous agendas that roll on here, club.

There are always agendas on forums Rexy.
Those who blindly accept everything are just as bad as those who are overly negative in my view. Calling for negative posters such as Synbad to stop posting is not something I have ever agreed with, although Synbad did question my right to post on the forum

Sometimes it is tough going through some of what is borderline spam to get to any good points made and they may even be lost due to the rough and tumble of forum arguing...sorry debate.
I agree that with those who state that if we all agreed then the forum would be pretty boring.
In my case I just think that some criticisms are unjust. A number of demonising arguments have been used.
I just don't see how some arguments make sense (although some are valid)
For example does doing your block over us not using the corridor enough and then arguing that we need Malthouse as coach make sense? The same with criticising Ratts having too many connections at Carlton yet arguing that Williams is better. When we win it is the players and when we lose it is the coach or the converse. Just some examples of things I have read. Although I am not in anyway suggesting that I have always been logical or right

Some criticism is very valid. The loss to Adelaide last season was totally valid. That was pretty much all Ratts. With the Pies game if we are trying to be better defensively why the blowout?
Sometimes negative views become entrenched. I saw a post recently that bemoaned the fact that whenever we hold the ball above our heads we always concede a goal and that they couldn't remember the last time we didn't and many agreed. Yet against Brisbane late in the third and against the Pies in the second we actually scored the next goal. Pointing out errors of recollection to me isn't about backing Ratts per se. Ryan thought that Ratts had only just discovered playing Gibbs off halfback and Jimmae, who is generally spot on, thought that Gibbs had been playing the same role all season. I didn't agree with either view, but was my opinion pro Ratts or what I thought was correct?
The same can be said for my reply to your reply to Club. I didn't think you were correct specifically on one particular detail nor on your overall premise as it doesn't seem to take in to account our approach in the Tigers game. Not that I totally disagree with everything you said. As sometimes I do believe we get the balance wrong
