I reckon we should do a Collingwood and demand that other teams play in their clash strip against us regardless if it's their home match.

If my memory serves me correctly, Swann mentioned at the AGM that as a result of the fixturing the club might not have to wear the white strip at all during 2009 (maybe once or twice at most)?

Yes, we will. Will probably wear it again against Freo (round 22) and Melbourne too.

I know many of you despise me but, i'm sure we can come together on this mater and the challenge the club to turf out of those insipid white jumpers.

Melvey, you had me at hello :smoking:

Could care less about the white jumper.

they are the classiest away strip in the AFL. I'm fine with seeing them a few times a year. They bring me good memories.

I agree, and have no problem with them. I think they look good.

Yeah, sure, they look fine.

But what if the 2010/11 Grand Final is Carlton vs St Kilda.

And we lose the midweek toss-of-the-coin on 'home colours'.

And we win our next Grand Final in white jumpers. How'd you like that forever captured on camera... the old white's parading the cup around the MCG?

It's unthinkable to me.

ok...lucky or not...that is NOT happening.
When we play the Aint's in a GF...and we will....St.Kilda can wear their fronts with a white back...and we wear the old dark navy.
I do think we look a bit umpiry in our Away gear..and sure we can do better..even if they are lucky!!(lucky lucky lucky)but..there is no way we don't wear our real jumper for the GF.

Our dark navt outfit with white CFC is the best looking in the comp. I do not have a problem with the white clash jumper for away games against a side with predominantly dark blue jumpers like Melbourne, but we should stick to the Navy against sides with different colours. Can't see why it was necessary for St Kilda clash.

And last years game on the Gold coast against Freo was a nightmare as we looked like Freo usually does and they looked like us.

So...we're doing this so Melbourne can wear navy blue on the night... :screwy:

Why can't we insist that they return to the royal blue of the 70-80's (their "golden" era)??

What about the option of going for the heritage jumper circa 1897 to 1907. Half navy blue, half yellow with the white insignia?
