Our penalties were brutal. Wish they'd taken all our points for the next two seasons and we'd kept the draft picks.

Couldn't agree more.
Draft penalties left us uncompetitive and in the wilderness for 6 friggin years! :banghead:

Bla bla bla...what about !@#$%& Essendon* in 1993?

They got caught!
AFL Commissioner Ron Evans gave them a slap on the wrist.
Ron Evans was a Bombers man.
He was the wrong person to hand down the penalty.
He was in charge of the salary rorting.
He was at the Bombers in 1993.

Ron Evans died of cancer... Karma... F*** him

Err, that's a bit tough, even for Ron Evans.

Just reading some numpty comments from people saying the AFL should of beentough on us a d stripped us of the 1995 premiership. When will anyone realise we weren't found guilty of anything at that time? How do Essendon* get off so easily for 1993?

I'm concerned we may lose all our NRL premierships for our involvement in this scandal.

Why don't they just strip us of the 2002 wooden spoon and give it to St Kilda?

This morning's front page Herald Sun story "Footy Fight Club". The translator has been upgraded and is back on line.

Quote: "It is believed Gardiner contacted his former West Coast teammate and now Carlton captain Chris Judd the following day to complain about Robinson's conduct. But the Blues yesterday said the midfielder's failure to earn a spot in Monday night's team to play the Saints was not related to the incident, which happened at 1.30am on Sunday. Robinsons involvement comes just months after Carlton promised to improve its off field behaviour after an end of year booze cruise... StKilda football manager Greg Hutchinson said "There was a bit of an argument. He (Gardiner) was walking out and the person that you mentioned, the Carlton guy, was sort of going off his head a little bit and so Gardy simply just grabbed him"

Translation: "Wayward StKilda ruckman Michael Gardiner, sacked by his previous club and with links to drug addict Ben Cousins and alleged underworld figure John Kizon, contacted his former West Coast teammate Chris Judd and threatened him "that if that little c&%t ever looks at me again I'll f%$#kin kill him". An eye witness said "Young Mitch, a harmless fun loving young man, was simply standing at the taxi rank and Gardy, all 200cm of him, just grabbed him"

Just to show how different the papers can be I read this in the paper this morning:

Saint Michael Gardiner, today was forced to phone former Eagles teammate, the man who will soon be embroiled in the latest third party payment scheme, Chris Judd. It is believed that Judd was the recipient of payments from the now defunct charity set up by Xavier Clarke. AFL heavyweight Adrian ANderson today fielded questions in relation to the alleged third party payments, when asked if it was true that, along with Judd, several Essendon* and St Kilda players had been implicated, Anderson scoffed and replied "only Carlton cheat!". AFL insiders have suggested that Carlton players will be crucified and their families placed in stocks when they are found guilty. Robinson's involvement in the incident is yet another alcohol/drug/kiddiefiddling/kitten killing/cheating/lying incident which has plagued the club since it's earliest days. St kilda football manager Greg Hutchinson said " Saint Michael was helping old ladies cross the street when Robinson and a group of about 30 Islamic terrorists stormed the pedestrian crossing killing several old women" Gardiner was not hurt.

Your first mistake is to expect some class from certain posters.

With the Juddy Brownlow aftermath and St James in charge of the scum, I think it's worth giving the old girl a jump-start.

Especially with pearlers like this already popping up.

Quote:
It is tempting to paint Essendon* as potentially this decade's version of Carlton, a giant that fell asleep and finally awoke with the game, and most of its rivals, having long gone past it. But Hird, in his attempt to drag the Bombers back towards football respectability, has several things working for him that the Blues couldn't call upon when Denis Pagan answered their coaching SOS at the end of 2002.

******************

Essendon*'s restoration under Hird won't only give Windy Hill a warm and fuzzy glow: It could actually turn that win-loss ratio around a lot quicker than many believe, and make those comparisons with the basket-case that was Carlton even more ill-fitting than they already are.

So by appointing a guy who's never coached beyond the Prahran Under 9s, Essendon* are automatically bnack in business.... That makes sense....

Horid last paragraph. Easily Rohan's weakest effort ever...I know he's a Bombers fan who likes to wear Collingwood jumpers.

Sometimes good, sometimes bad, this time bad.......generally speaking he's an idiot!!! Getting closer to Fatprick Smith by the day....should be writing for the HS rag with Sensationalist Sheehan...the self acclaimed expert of footy....

Seems the "Rohan Connolly is an Essendon* supporter" footnote was conveniently left out.

I must say, Hird's got no right to spout off about our leaks or otherwise, especially when they stopped after the Smorgon years.
