Sure, but does Mitch strike you as the sort of guy who's going to soberly assess the ramifications of the Summer's 'incidents' and act accordingly?

I hope we don't have another 'off-field Fev' on our hands?

The club will surely be a lot stronger in dealing with Mitch than it did with Fev.

The players dont call him "ADDSY" for nothing.

Common theme here? Laurence Angwin, Karl Norman, Brendan Fevola, Mitch Robinson.

I sincerely hope Mitch can be reigned in as I love him as a player, especially his dash, hardness, flair, and burst. We need players who are ferocious competitors and have the confidence to take opponents on, take a bounce, run the lines and take risks, even if they make the occasional mistake. These attributes are priceless in todays football.

Come on Mitch, we want you back in the seniors

Doesn't care who he takes on ...

Can the club change a lifetime of misdirected aggression?

Gets on the juice and wants to fight. Simple as that.

All Robinson's fault ... Gardiner did nothing wrong.

St Kilda football manager Greg Hutchison said the altercation was minor.

"There was a bit of an argument. He (Gardiner) was walking out and the person that you mentioned, the Carlton guy was sort of going off his head a little bit and so Gardy simply just grabbed him," Hutchison said.

"He said he certainly grabbed Robinson ... and the people that were there sent Robinson home in a cab."

StKilda said so!
Waiting for Caro .... article to go something like this,
Robinson needs to be traded at the end of the year ... club with leardership, etc to be best suiter ... Brisbane, Collingwood, etc..

As Megaman says, that is assault and battery.
i expect the cops to question Gardiner soon. How many St Kilda players are breaking the law these days??

There is always a reason why a gun youngster who is touted to be a top 10 pick slips down to 40 odd or is not drafted at all.

While I am not involved directly at the club, I have friends there and I am hearing way too much noise when it comes to Robbo. I would put him on the trade table for GC and hope to land a top 10 pick - we need to do this while he is young and before very very big stuff ups get into the media

He will be one of those players who plays for 4 different AFL clubs

He sounds similar to Martin Pike.

That part of the article grabbed me too. Apparently the Saints want to write their own press about being Angels....

I would be surprised if Robinson was left out this week for form. If it was disciplinary, then I would have preferred that the club said so. Regardless of Gardiner being a ratbag, Mitch's behaviour can't be excused, and rumour has it that this was one of the reasons that we nabbed him at pick 40 (to the club's surprise) in 2008, as no one else wanted a bar of him. It was also said at the time that we didn't interview him prior to the draft as we didn't think he would be available by our pick.....

I don't regret the decision to draft him, but he needs to be reigned in quick, for his own good.

This could be a blessing in disgusise for the club. The club has been put on notice. We have a wayward yet talented teenager. Off field he is a great liability but on field, we know how good he will be for us. We failed that test with Fev a decade ago and are now faced with a similar predicament, we will soon find out how strong our culture is(both on and off the field is) in effectively dealing with such individuals. How we manage Robbo would be a good indication as to whether we have progressed as a club since the dark ages.

Conundrum

Our culture has improved out of sight since we traded Fev.

You all might read what his brother has to say on Bigfooty. He goes by the name "Triplezero". Puts a different perspective on it and highlights the risks on jumping to "confusions"

Isn't it funny how the same innocent person gets caught up in the same crap, time and again. He just has amazing bad luck.

His brother never said who started it, just that Cooney did nothing.
