The club needs to act quickly. This is not the first time Robbo has found himself in some trouble. Lucky the media isnt all over this as there would be some loopholes in our contract with Mars in regards to players behavior. :banghead:

IF he was ejected for being intoxicated in public he should be spending some more time in the magoos.

This club can't afford those sorts of headlines given the last 9 months. If Robbo can't work that sort of equation out then he's got no business in our best 22. Or possibly on the list. He is expendable.

Finally some sanity.

I'd sack him just for that.

It doesnt take much to get kicked out of a bar.
I have been told by friend, (not confirmed)Liquor licensing laws have changed now so bouncers can be fined $6000 if police find a intoxicated person in the premises. So if someone looked a lil bit tired or had a few too many, they will ask the patron to leave.

It is not hard to be thrown out of a bar, last year l had like 6 beers, wasn't even drunk but looked tired and was asked to leave. Went elsewhere and partied on all nite.

But, As from fevola saga, all l heard in the past is that the club should of been harder on him when he was younger and he wouldnt of ended up like he did. The club should sanction him and teach him a lesson now. Mitch is a borderline senior player, best to punish him now then later. Doesnt send a good message to rest of the boys that you can go out and get on the piss during the season. I dont pay membership to see players piss it up

44 possies against a fairly piss poor opposition......means squat. Frankly last weeks VFL game is not a good indicator.

I think the club has handled it well. Kept it internal and handed out a fair punishment. I hope he is hungrier now and puts the team first, giving himself every chance to get back in the seniors.

How did the club find out about it?

Glad he's been sanctioned by the club. As Fev proved to us, you've gotta get these blokes doing the right thing from early on.

I hope Mitch realises pretty quick smart that he's a professional athlete in a serious competition. He just can't be out getting pissed in public in the middle of the season.

Poor effort but hopefully the penny will drop for him on what it takes to be an AFL footballer long term.
I wish he put as much effort into studying the game and learning where to run, when to tackle and block as he does into his social life.

Yes, but quite frankly I have to question the effectiveness of the programs put in place following the booze cruise debacle re off-field professionalism.

Robbo could be anything...he definitely has talent and passion....but requires discipline and a run in the twos getting high possessions consistently b4 he is brought back into the senior side IMO...

Just an average player at best I reckon

This still happens at every club.

Beams was suspended from the first few rounds after he failed to heed the message sent by sacking of Shaw and the suspensions of Didak and Shaw.

Beams' form since then has been good.

Yes, but given the circumstances that followed the booze cruise with sponsorships in jeopardy and the public muddying of our brand and the assurances by Kernahan Swann and Juddy that off-field professionalism was being addressed, one has to wonder how the education process is going if there's still drinking incidents happening.
You would have thought everyone at the club would be walking on eggshells with regard to incidents involving alcohol.

Sure, but does Mitch strike you as the sort of guy who's going to soberly assess the ramifications of the Summer's 'incidents' and act accordingly?
