For too long we have seen this rabble beat us, too long. This team is nothing but sad sooks with players who well we all know should not be in society. For too long we have seen boofhead Gehrig, Tiprat Milne killing us off there boot.

Its been too long and now we need to bury this team to where they belong. We have put up with there supporters, this team is closing the gap on pies as the team i most hate. Cmon blue boys lets show them how to play enjoyable footy.

Id really like Carlton to win - But I have to believe otherwise at this point.

Dont fret too long if we lose - the pain will only be for a short while.

Because when you look back - you will see that a loss at this juncture in time will be a very important point in the overall scheme of things.

A loss will be a starting point for desisions that will lead to some very important and very positive changes at Carlton.

Yes thats true.

But it's the rate of the progress that's the tricky bit.

Theres no doubt that a win would be a big step forward.

But I think a loss to the saints after last weeks loss against the pies would crystalise issues about the team and this will lead to some good descisions being made.

I remember when playing the Aints was a guaranteed 100 point thumping

That was during the good ol' days from 79 to 91 when we won 22 out of 24. Ah...........those were the days

It's believed that the planes that smashed into the world trade centre had an impact that was less serious than Nick Riewoldt's hamstring injury

So you mean we will begin to beat St Kilda as Spurs beat the Gunners?

I blame the twin towers going down for our loss to Richmond, and the subsequent dark ages that followed.

Opportunity for St Kilda to improve their win loss ratio against Carlton from 47/156 to 48/156

....(only 55 seasons or so to go)

Interesting - Last year's game against St Kilda had the following players

Austin, Stevens, Fevola, Hampson, Bannister, Grigg

Are we a better team with the inclusion of

Russell, Lucas, Yarran, Jacobs and one of Henderson, Johnson, Thorton or White

Stevens and Fev are big losses but against a side like St Kilda, we are better off not to have Fev. If there is one team who took full advantage of our one man band when Fev was around, its the Saints. Stevens is a big loss but Scotland has really stood up this year. Lucas is not as good as Stevo was but knowing that it's his first year and seeing how well he has fit in makes it a good swap. I think we are a tad better side for the Saints this time around.

Replacing Austin with Thornton, Bannister with Russell, Hampson with Jacobs and Grigg with White/Hendo/Johnson is an overall win.
