Probably in that marking contest in the last quarter. Great courage!

Today was a dress rehearsal for what we'll have to endure against the aints. We failed big-time.

MC will be tested this week at selection table.

I think they are loath to drop Brock and/or Hendo, bec we gave up so much for these guys. They were seen as the two big gets for us post 2009, but cold hard reality is Hendo has not been very impressive (I know he is a kid but personally I expected to see more signs than he has shown) and Brock has probably been slower (at running and handballing/kicking in packs) than even the club thought he would be

Are the MC going to show some gonads and drop one or both?

Guys like Wiggins (a better fwd option than Hendo right now) and Hadley (surely couldn't be any slower than Brock and dare say prob quicker at dishing off handballs in close) must be wondering who they have to screw to get a game - ditto Grigg

i wouldnt be suprised if they try to play brock into form...big mistake as his position is crucial in us taking home 4 prem pts..but he is a massive liability atm and needs to be dropped...i reckon the mc are concerned that brock will fail in the magoos and the lucrative contract we gave him will be worth no more than toilet paper.

Monday night football is a pox on society. :screwy:

Here's a thought, why don't we have an extra Saturday afternoon game? We have three @#$%&! channels supposedly covering the AFL. You wouldn't think it was rocket science.

Thursday night is better than Monday night by a long way. But I still don't see why games can't be played between Friday night and Sunday night.

Very hard to argue against this. Can't see us dealing with 'Saints Footy' with any success.

I'd rather see us persist with Henderson but in a different position and see what happens...Wiggo has never been a long term answer so why look to him for a short term fix??? Hadley and Maclean are pretty much the same so nothing to be gained there....difficult to interpret what happened out there today...

I said during the week that I'd like to see us go in with one ruckmen and bring in Waite as I felt we needed more pace X factor and flexibility to get over these guys....may not have made a difference but we lacked the spark to swing momentum our way when we really needed it and guys like Jacobs won't provide that...we were never going to win the rucks in any case..I guess I'm a believer in rolling the dice more than just making standard selections...but that's just my opinion..

Time to set a standard and drop all four of them.

SO what? He has no courage and ha no attack on the football he is a liability. Good attack on the body but useless when attacking the football... what game are you watching?

he should start following the example of jr army and bower... put your head over the ball, pick it up and dish it off instead of trying to tap it along the ground in fear of getting hit!

he is not good enuff for afl football at this point in time...he is too scaaared.

Geez...apart from Waite those other ins have back to the future written all over them....

I have to agree - Wiggins and Browne - PLEASE!! - not up to it and never will be - its that simple... and dont get me started on stop start Thornton - has never used to ball to our advantage....

In Waite - for sure and i'd play White up forward - Hendo might need a rest -

We were smashed by their run from half back and their clearance work in the centre - at one stage it was about 13-2 clearances from the middle - i defy any defence to be able to withstand that type of supply.

what was more disappointing was our midfield allowing their players to get goal side - i reckon ball, williams and beams got soft and easy goals because their mid opponents didnt work hard enough

I gather you're not a fan. He did his job. The MC will be convinced by keeping him in next week which will have you sooking for another week

A totally different game next week -and today not really a dress rehearsal for next week - today fast open game played at the G - on Monday week a dour struggle where Aints will try to choke the life out of us
I reckon the Carringbush have the players that can negate our strengths -not sure one on one the Aints have -Big Statement I know but I RECKON WE CAN BEAT THE SAINTS - we need to model our game on Port last week against them - continue to take risks down the middle - bower /russell armfield - meet them strongly in the midfield scrums - fast forwards run defence ragged and seek to spread saints backline - cover them on counterattack where they get most of their scores

Explain. Cite a situation and let's see if what you thought happened actually happened.

Bit of lateral thinking, with McLean due to be dropped, why not give AJ a go as the inside midfielder? He is tough, quick, can kick, has some experience now by tagging the best players in the business. I reckon its worth a try. Bring in Grigg to to do AJ's tagging role. He can run, is strong, can mark. Can't kick too well but as a tagger it doesn't matter so much.

Arent they doing Monday night games as a test to see what the ratings would be like in preparation for an 18 team comp?

I agree though, its a horrible timeslot

He came up holding his thigh after that strong mark in the last qtr.....but the replay showed he turned his body and didn't cop a corkey there.

A few mins later he dashed away and seemed to move ok....but things can change after you cool down.

Why ?......good night for TV audience, maybe not so good for attending live.

Mon Night is the night ppl have fewest arrangements on after the w/end.

Whats wrong with having a game to watch on Mon night ?..... has proven a big success in the US with their Mon night time slot
