How did I know that this thread would be bumped?

Today wasn't Ratten's fault.

No you cant blame today on Rattan , I concur.

We were the more talented team..and he was outcoached.

Comparing Malthouse with Ratts is like comparing Judd with Mclean.

If I was a Pies fan, I wouldn't walk away from that game with the hopes of winning a flag with their list and Malthouse in charge.

At times, Ratten's game plan exposed them for pace and took the ball down the ground without them even laying a hand on the ball.

They're pretenders.

Not his fault...the pies are more experienced....we're young...we're developing....we need more time and uhmmm we are 5 or 10 players away from being a good team...

Pies scored about 150. That's a massive score. Was that part of Ratten's plan??

You're another 1500 posts from writing something interesting and thought provoking.

The Pies made the most of their chances whilst Carlton blew their chances and mucked around with the ball under pressure.

Send Ratten out there to kick the ball.

Yet Ratten is glossed over after we eeked back their lead in the third quarter. :sly:

Next we'll read that Kreuzer is a better forward than ruck and Ellard is better than Mclean...

:banghead: :hitcomputer:

Was it Ratten's plan to beat Geelong?

Is Ratten responsible for the players taking the foot of the gas and not fighting out the game?

That was a good game of football that felt closer than a nine goal loss.

You peaked with your interesting thread stating we've played just two first year players in 2010.

There are two types of supporters contributing to this thread, those that support the club and those that almost revel in losses and seem happiest when we lose.

I just wish the second type would go back to supporting Richmond.

Yes he should be sacked again because we lost. We must win 100% all the time or else sack him

Ratten's most damaging error relating to this game was made in October

Actually it was Carrazzo's in not paying Ball enough respect at stoppages around goal...

I thought my Qn was a good one. Didnt Ratten say pre-season with Fevola gone we'd need to tweak our game plan and be more defensiv etc etc etc. So, what's with the Pies scoring 150 odd? That game was a shoot out.

But anyhow, you ignore the chance to answer my Qn, and instead ask several others and then take a personal pot shoot.

Clearly you're a terrific poster

It was always going to be easy to find four goals a game.

VB one big loss does not make a season.

As I said above, Richmond will take you, you'll fit in there plus you can bag your coach every week!

Kicking the gls hasn't been such a big problem. Setanta, Betts, Yarran, Garlett have been good, today they contributed 11 gls??.

My Qn - and seems you struggle with it too - is why was this game a shoot out? Surely Ratten needs to take some heat for the way this game panned out.

150 odd pts is unacceptable.

What some of us revel in is that we know we are going to get a good laugh after the game. It makes a lot more sense than venting our spleens (or not) at no one or at a collective of players who can only ever play as good as their ability allows them.

Ratts coached well today. Sure they kicked 150+ but we did break the 100.
IMO there are times in sport that you test not only yourself but your opposition. Today Ratts tested out the opposition and yes they won by kicking 150+.
However i am very confident that today the Coach MC and players learnt a great deal more from this loss than the others this year.
This loss will make us stronger, more determined and more aware of, firstly what Collingwood can do and secondly what is required of us moving foward.

We lost the game but be assured we won in the positives to take fromthis game.

This coming weeks game against the Saints, will be won because of this loss and what we learnt from it....And these 150+ scores .... don't worry toomuch about them, i don't see us being on the end of another one this season.

Ratts is holding his own at the moment...I still can't see or warrant a sacking this year...
